when does all the "touching" begin?

Hey guys,

From browsing through this site, I've noticed that touching varies among members. Some get touched about a month after submitting petition, while others until 2 months after. But I'm starting to worry about my petition. I submitted it on June 21st and have only been touched once on July 8th. I'm starting to wonder if maybe they lost my petition somewhere and maybe I should contact someone, or should I just be a bit more patient? What do you guys think?

Hang tight cutie. You know it was received, that's the most important thing. Many people never get touched at all. There was a lot of touching going on due to transfers to CSC in June and IMBRA RFEs but these days you may not see anything. It's hard, but try to be patient since we know CSC is slow.

Good luck!

Be a little more patient, ucla_cutie26! It's something that my fiance and I also tell ourselves every day. We got our NOA1 on the 11th of July and just as another vj user recently posted under another thread, the waiting time between NOA1 and NOA2 varies from 2 to 6 months at California Service Center. We surely hope to get the approval as soon as possible...I wish you and your fiancee good luck!

The key word is PATIENCE!!! This is a very long process, it will test your patience many times over. When the k1 visa's finally in your baby's hand and they're with you, you will know that your patience has paid off!!!

My fiancee's interview is October 17th, long time coming, just a short time left now. Wedding will be something in November, preferrably the first week or two, gets cold here in this state past that time.

Thanks,

Keith & Xiang

Thanks guys, it's just that sometimes I feel like I AM LOSING MY MIND, checking for updates over and over again on the uscis site, and nothing, no updates. Maybe I should do as Kitkat's old avatar and hit my head on the table.

I know it's nervewracking, but you can't hinge your hopes on touches. This is how it works in my mind - some officers register working on "touching" your case, while others don't. Now, I have no idea if this is accurate or not, but that's how I imagine it being. You can get approved and never get touched - or you can get touched every day for weeks (just look at Gary and Luz) and still wait an eternity and a half for an approval. Regardless, you know they recieved it and no matter how much we stress (and stress out our SOs) it's not gonna speed things up any.

Take up knitting, lol... anything to keep your hands from going to the USCIS website every two minutes.

Good luck.

All of us either at the beginning of this journey or long waiting for an approval are experiencing the same type of feelings...Maybe it would help if you imposed yourself to check your status once a week for instance, filling in the rest of your free time with positive thoughts...
