got my noa2 today. no email or text I went out to the mail box and it was there. I checked the uscis site and it still shows initial review for my receipt number. I was surprise because I've been waiting all this time I was 100 percent sure I was going to get a rfe.

Today is a bittersweet day. I'm in the States. Amy is in the Philippines and in labor. I spoke with her briefly on the phone a bit ago. Her contractions are about 2 to 3 minutes apart. I soooo wanted to be there for this.:crying::dance:

Ray-J, how is Amy? And the baby? I hope all is well! I'm sorry you weren't able to be there for the birth. Congrats, papa!!!

And congrats to all of you who got your NOA2s!!! I hope ours will come soon.

Delivery Update:

Amy tried delivering at home with a midwife. Unfortunately, the baby was too big for a normal delivery. She was taken to the hospital and evaluated for a cesarian section. There are glaring differences between their healthcare system and ours. There, payment is required prior to treatment. They quoted, at first, 120k pesos for a private room with a 50% deposit. Serena decided it was time to make her entrance and nobody was going to stop her. That's a true sign she's my kid. Amy's family was able to negotiate the price down to 50k pesos (approximately $1,000 USD) for a semi-private room. The last I've heard was Amy had been taken into the operating room and they were working on her. I've been on pins and needles waiting to hear from the family if everything went well.

Update on the Update:

Amy's blood pressure was too high to do the c-section. Still no word on their condition. This is soooo frustrating!!! If Amy were having Serena here in the USA, she'd be in the nursery by now.

I know how hard it is for you right now, but just pray they're both ok... high blood pressures can be managed and hopefully you're baby will be out well and good... you have to be strong for your baby and amy... God is with them papa...

Delivery Update:

Serena Marie was born via C-Section on 9-25-11. She came a couple of weeks early and will spend a few days in an incubator. Both momma and baby are doing well and resting. I can't wait for these next 2 weeks to go by to go see them and hopefully bring them home.

Hello May PEOPLE!!!!!

We have a new week upon us...and we're all gonna put on a happy face...because whether we get our NOA 2 now, or in a month...we're all looking for a lifetime with the one we love.

I also don't want to diminish the happiness our fellow K-1ers are feeling. They deserve their happiness. And it will come for all of us.

Let's be happy, smile and perhaps pray a little ;)

You hear me folks??? POSITIVE THOUGHTS!

Sabrina

Thanks for this Sabrina! I am very happy for our fellow VJers and May Filers who have been approved, and it's a good reminder to smile and think positive thoughts. Our time will come. I've been getting scared that our petition has fallen into black hole and I have been starting to lose faith. I just need to stay positive and put out good energy to whoever our petition is assigned to. We are in this together! :)

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T
