Please don't sit around waiting for the next letter they call "Packet 3" that is what I believe cr1 filers must wait for. But as a k1 you don't have to. Now that you recieve that letter you don't have to guess whether the embassy has your case, they do. If you have your MNL number, Passport info, and all the basic info for your fiance listed below you can proceed. After recieving that letter Manila Embassy should have your case in their system within a week so you can start Interview scheduling now. I found the following earlier myself. This is very helpful... Once you have your MNL you can send you fiancee to a BPI bank to pay for the visa. Make sure she keeps the reciept and gives you the number on it.

You will need the bank reciept number before they will allow you to schedule the appointment. This applies to appointment scheduling with a CS rep or online.

Call (214) 571-1600 as soon as you hear the recording, press 2, when you hear the next recording start press 1, do this 2 more times.

So, it will be: (214) 571-1600 2, 1, 1, 1.

Your call should then be directed to a rep to help you setup the interview. It took a few times to get through...but not a problem.

You will need the following info:

Case number: MNLXXXXXXXXXX

Fiance(e)'s:

full name

date of birth

phone number

mailing address

e-mail address

passport number

passport issued date

passport expiration date

passport place of issue

You will be asked if the Certificate of Eligibility has been received. Just say Yes

They will verify all info that you have given and give you the interview date info. They will also give you the UID, read it back to them to make sure it is correct. WRITE THIS DOWN!!!

They will send an e-mail to your Fiance(e) with the password to download the Appointment letter.

***Note, you can have them send it to you as well if you wish, I did.

Go to:

http://www.ustraveld...fcMxpfBJUHUOw==

You will need your Fiance(e)'s passport number, the UID and the password they sent in the e-mail to download your Appointment letter.

Print it out and you're done...well, except for the medical and interview ;)

For those that don't have MNL , if you do not receive an NVC letter, call the NVC at: (603) 334-0700 about 3 weeks after you received the petition approval notice.

@ me $ him;

Usually it may take a months time. So expect anything by 20th of October. After that NVC would take no more than 3 weeks. And your fiancé will get the interview date..!

Cheers..!

Hi folks. I had my medical yesterday in London and i wrote it up on my blog (click my signature) if anyone is interested.

More importantly, I met a man in the waiting room who filed in DECEMBER last year. They were refused, appealed...he was so weary with it all and was shaking his head when I told him we filed in May.

It made me think about you guys still waiting. He had a long wait but he was sitting there finally at the next stage. It WILL happen, stay strong...I know you'll just read this and go to the next post but I mean it. Stay strong it's going to really happen to you too.
