Was waiting anxiously for our NOA2, but received an RFE for evidence of intent to marry. We included our signed statements, photos, airline tickets, etc.

Any advice?

For those with prior RFE's, how long did it take approx to get your NOA2? (I know it depends on what info, but just approx).

:help:

It sounds like USCIS needs the letters (original statements) from the USC and the beneficiary certifying an intent to marry within 90 days of the beneficiary entering the US on the K1 visa???? Did you send them in with your I129f application?

Here is the step-by-step guide on filing the I-129f (letter of intent to marry is #5 of the checklist) - http://www.visajourn...ontent/k1guide.

Hope this helps! :)

Question? How does people know when there case has been touched? I signed up on the USCIS site and have my eac number and it says initial review, which I know means its just sitting around, but I notice alot of others can see if it has been touched or anything. How does that work?

Once you log in on the USCIS website to check your case status, there is a box to the left. The third line down should read "Sign-Up for Case Updates." Once you sign up and "add a case to your portfolio," you can request to get updates by email and/or mobile. The last update to our case was May 20 (probably when they cashed the check or our petition was put in a box somewhere, hehe!)... so that has been our last - and only - 'touch' so far.

Hope that helps! :)

Your lucky you even get that much, i put in my case number and its not even recognized. I called just to make sure its in the system and that all they tell you. They also say the system may never show any action on the case number.

INfO ALERT:

We had received our NOa2 in the mail and had been calling the nvc to get our nvc number but so far the automated system tells us we are not in the system. I got tired of this so I emailed them. 2 days later they said to call the embassy if we want info. So I said AHA! I called nvc back and talked to the operator instead of the automated system. She had the info for me. She said the sent it to Manila on the 26th. So when you call talk to an operator. Because the automated still says we are not in the system. LOL

Happy Friday, May Filers! It's a long weekend in the US (Monday is a holiday), so I don't except we'll see any approvals on Monday. Hopefully next week we'll see LOTS more May approvals (and today would be nice, too ). Have a great weekend everyone! :)

Hello May filers. Its a labor day weekend so one less day for approvals. I'm really happy to see may filers getting approve. I'm happy for everyone that received noa2. Just little worry to see many approvals after my noa1 date getting approved and my file still stuck at someone's desk. I hope uscis employees have a good holiday and enjoy their time with their family and significant others so maybe they can realize the importance of family and come back to work Tuesday with a good state of mind and starts approving files fast. I know it might be asking a lot but its a wishfull thinking. Congratulations to everyone that is approved and good luck to the rest of us that are still waiting for noa2. We made it this far and are almost there.

And on another note... it's apparently been 4.5 months since I saw Ice.... :(

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

I'm really worried now. If Ice's family finds out what we're doing, they will try to contact te government and stop him from coming. If we don't get approved soon, we might have really big problems...

Any advice?
