NVC - How to check status? (Call/automated/human)

So I was wondering how long it take for VS to send NOA2 to NVC.. If I use the automatic system does that reflect accurate real time information or do I have to speak to a specialist? Just curious...

it takes about a week....

then you can call nvc to see if they sent it out....that can take anywhere from days to 2-4 weeks....wish you the best :thumbs:

My timeline is almost identical to yours... I've called NVC everyday so far and nothing yet. Hoping they have it by Friday or early next week.

12/31/10--Touched

05/05/11--NOA2 Approved

05/09/11-Received NOA2 hardcopy

05/16/11--NVC recieved case

05/20/11-Manila Embassy received case

06/09-10/11-Medical

06/16/11--Interview

06/17/11--CFO/Prism

06/25/11--Visa Delivered! Thank you Lord Jesus!

NVC received my case exactly 1 week after my NOA2 approval. After you receive your NOA2 in the mail give NVC a call press 1 then 2 to speak to someone. Good luck!! :thumbs:

I've heard K1 papers are not entered into the automated system, so you will have to speak to someone each and every time.

This is true! When people call and they cannot find their case number/record in the system, they panic! But their k1 case is usually in and out of the NVC within a week or so and off to the Embassy.

K1 Visa Process -> 12/09-06/10 Married -> 09/10/10 AOS Process -> 09/10-12/10 Removal of Conditions-> 09/12-07/13

U.S. Naturalization -> 7/8/20
