Hi vj fam!! I filed a K-1 for my fiance and K-2 for his children, who will follow to join. My question is: do we submit the DS156, DS156K and DS157 for them now or later when they are ready to travel?. They are have having their medical done now since that is valid for up to a year. Appreciate your response.

Visas are valid for 6 mos. Keeping that in mind, submit applications at such time, that when issued, they are still valid when you want them to travel.

this is off topic but did u wait for them to send u packet 3 or u you just went ahead and email it once you know the consulate received your petition? i notice u did'nt have anything in your timeline of recieving packet 3.
