Should I be worried?

We sent out the package on the 10th of Dec and got the first NOA on the 16th. Since then our case has been touched once (31st of Dec) and we have no NOA2.

Should I be worried? Is it more likely we'll get an RFE if it's taking a while for the second NOA?

I wouldn't worry. I sent ours in on Nov 22, didn't get NOA1 until Dec 17, touchced on Dec 31 just like yours, and the next Notice I recieved was NOA2 Approved on 5/9. Hang in there, you should have it soon.

Based on your timeline, I see that your packet was filed at the VSC. If you look at the VJ processing times the VSC F-129 average time is 162 days between the approval of the NOA1 to the NOA2. Thus, look at the math here, you got your NOA1 on 12/16/2010, add the average days, and then on the “average” your earliest timeframe would be 05/27/2011. Thus, things seem in check here. Also, take into consideration it takes a couple of days to mail the NOA2. Now, again, we are talking about an average. In our case, we were under average on the NOA2, but about the same time on the biometrics, and our interview date is a couple of days past the average. In summary, for the most part, the processing times on the JV site are a good indicator to get a basic idea of what to expect. Not full proof, (Smile), but a nice feature to monitor your case. Chances are you are in good shape for the future. Enjoy and stay in love!

I didn't get any updates or touches until I got approved. Some people get approved and STILL get no updates on the USCIS website. Don't worry. :)

LOL - yea we got out department of state letter and embassy packet and STILL havent gotten anything showing approval from USCIS...when I called them they tried to tell me it wasnt approved. Go figure.....
