Confused after a military expedite

Hey everybody, great forum, it really has helped me. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Rough outline:-

7th Feb 2011 NOA1

17th April I leave USA after 84 days

18th April Expedite request due to possible deployment approved :)

19th April USCIS 'My Case Status' post decision activity says we've been approved

3rd May Receive letter from State Department NVC

We have not yet received an NOA2 - do we need if for the interview? Do we still get one because of the expedite approval?

Also can anyone who has had an approved expedite tell me exactly what is expedited, I've looked on here and elsewhere on the internet and found no solid answer. Is everything expedited or just the I-129f petition stage? Will we get a faster interview? Do I still have to do the police checks and medical? Will my fiance still have to provide all the stuff from his side, they've approved a military expedite so they know he has a permanent job and is on decent money.

Any information on the stages after expedite approval would be great

You do not need the NOA2 for the interview but will for adjustment of status...

USCIS expedite is just the USCIS.. if you need to expedite the consular process you need to inquire

All requirements for the visa must still be met, including applications, PC's, medical, financial, etc... They assume nothing and so should you.

YMMV

Can the NOA2 for the interview be a photocopy - I am in Scotland and my SO is deployed to Iraq, so all the letters go to his POA in America and I get sent scanned copies.

I am still waiting for information, as we were approved, but now they want more evidence. SIGH, so stressful.
