Missing Documents checklist

Hi guys.. i need help, we received another checklist letter from nvc after case complete a couple of days ago.

here is the checklist letter:

______FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:__________________________________________

NVC has completed the review of this case. However, our review of the

I-864, I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A (if applicable) Affidavit of Support form

and supporting documents that you have submitted indicates that there is

still some missing documentation.

We are sending you the attached checklist, which indicates which

documents are still missing. You should obtain these documents and

forward them to the visa applicant so they may be presented at the final

interview. The applicant must present all required forms and documents,

including the missing items to the Consular officer at the visa interview

Part 1 Information on the Household Member

[x] The (sponsor) has not signed and/or dated his/her name on the appropriate line.

[x] The ( sponsor)'s signature must be in blue or black pen.

my question's are;

1. do we need to provide a proof of relationship of my husband and mother-in-law?

2. do i need to bring the 864 form at the day of my interview and submit it to the consul officer or at the pre-interview?

3. Also i wonder why nvc didn't noticed that my husband filled out the form i864 with a mistakes on my middle name and birth month, Can he send it to me with the corrected info. and submit them at the day of my interview? also do we need to make a letter explaining the mistakes?

please help...im so confused

I don't have any answers, but I hope somebody can give you some. I didn't realize they could close your case and still send you a checklist.

All I can suggest is that your (or your husband) call NVC and ask them what it means and how you should proceed.

I have read on these forums that a couple have received RFE's well after the file has cleared NVC and even actually made it to the foreign consulate.

This is def. a situation that you want to call and clear up.

My gut is that all is well and that you don't need to submit anything since it's cleared NVC already. Don't go with my word, ask NVC.

Well, if it's any comfort, I'm now an expert on this subject...I just got one of these today as well.

Called NVC and they said send the required checklist package to my wife for review by the CO during the interview. The NVC operator explicitly said it should be presented in a 'sealed envelope'. And if I screwed it up again kiss that visa bye-bye (she didn't say that, but the checklist letter basically did).

I hate this. I'm feeling pretty sick right now.

This is normally not a big deal. For example, your police certificate might have expired during the process, and while NVC will send the expired one to the consulate along with everything else, you will have to get a new report before the interview. You have to remember that NVC is primarily a clearing house just pulling things together for the consulate, so if there are smallish issues that can be resolved at the consulate, they "approve" and then say collect a couple of additional things for the interview.
