Hey,

I found out that MTL mailed the package 3 yesterday and I'm starting to freak out a little bit. I'm concerned about two of the questions on the DS230, specifically questions 32 and 35. I am wracking my brain trying to remember the details of start and end date for all of my employment, but the fact of the matter is that I just don't have the records that far back for my employment. Can I fill it out to the best of my knowledge and just state that it is to the best of my knowledge?

Same with Q 35. I don't have documentation on all of my travels to the USA, I'm sure that I passed through a few times as a child - but I honestly have no idea how to make it accurate. Any advice on this?

I noticed on the Checklist that it's asking for Proof of US Domicile. Is that applicable for the K1?

For I-134 and 1-864 - do these need to get sent back with the checklist or are they brought to the interview?

What documents DO I send back with the checklist - is it just the DS230?

These are probably covered somewhere but I can't find them!

Thanks for any advice

Answers to the best of my knowledge!

As for the employment questions I would put the same thing you put on you original application. If you don't know the exect dates I'm sure you could put just a month and a year or just the year.

On our application I will put the date of the last time my fiance was in the US and add "and on other numerous occassions" or you could say "numerous times during childhood, dates are unknown"!

For K-1 you only need the I 134 and you bring it to the interview. The only thing you send back is the checklist and the applications.

You can send the forms and the checklist to Montreal before you receive packet 3 if you want.

As far as the employment goes, I put down what I could remember. The same for the trips to the US.

I took proof of domicile to the interview but was never asked for it.

The I-134 and supporting documents go with you to the interview. The I-864 does not apply to K1 until AOS. So don't do that one.

Here is the link to packet 3 ....It tells you what forms you need to fill out and what to send back. http://montreal.usconsulate.gov/content/content.asp?section=visas&document=immigrant_visa

All that goes back to Montreal is the Checklist....signed and dated with the X's on the things that you will provide at the interview. And the forms that they requested.

DO NOT send your birth cert, passport picture, criminal record check or anything else that is on the checklist....Those go with you to the interview.

If you have any questions please send me a message.

The checklist for Montreal Canada is in the link that I posted....But I am not sure if that would be the same for the consulate in Ireland. I am sure that it would be close.

Try posting the question in the Ireland forum and see what you come up with.
