Silly pseudo mistake

So today we got my husbands birth certificate in the mail and the town he was officially born is different from what he told me and what we've been filling out on all our forms They are neighboring towns and the hospital is right on the border so I can understand his confusion but come on!! Will this cause us major trouble? Should we include a letter in our IV packet to the NVC explaining the discrepancy? Arggh!

I agree. It's a common mistake to list the city of parents residence at the time of birth, instead of a neighboring city where the hospital was located. Do it right on the DS230 and I-864 and don't expect a problem.
