While I'm happy for all of the May approvals  it would be nice to know why or if we got forgotten or skipped. Now at 15% for May and we haven't seen anything.

Don't feel bad, John. I just got a letter from USCIS about my inquiry as to the whereabouts of my file. They say they sent it to the NVC. I also received an email from nvcresearch@state.gov about my inquiry about why they don't have it in their system yet. All they can tell me so far is that they don't have it and will contact USCIS on my behalf to try and find out where the file might be. :bonk:

haha GG is hitting one of her moody spikes :( Hopefully it will be tomorrow for us or at least next week.

I hope so, too, John. In the mean time, I'm letting the dogs loose on NVC.

The email I just sent to NVCResearch:

On July 12, 2011, I made an inquiry with a tier 2 representative at USCIS about the location of my case file. When the rep stated it had been forwarded to NVC, I informed him of an earlier call to USCIS in which I was informed that the case file was still at the California Service Center. Upon hearing this, he initiated an internal trace on the file. The attached letter from USCIS is the result of their internal search [saying they don't have it]. I'm also taking the liberty of including my I-797 again so there will be no mistaking what we're talking about. At this point, it is my feeling that my case file is in your facility but has not been scanned into your system. I've heard rumors of backlogs resulting from great numbers of petition approvals. I ask that you physically check your files again and summarily issue an embassy case number upon finding my file.

Good luck and once we get approved hopefully we don't have the same luck or I will be going thru the same routine with GG trying to keep her patient and positive. :bonk:
