Assuming that your I-130 was filed in the U.S

Priority date for the I130/Cr-1 is of no importance to your case as there is a visa automatically available for this class.

We filed our I-130 first week of Jan and expect to hear around June if approved or not. Anything sooner is a bonus and that is possibly the best approach to adopt as checking on the USCIS case staus can be omewhat demoralising to say the least

Dec filers hearing now are doing great by hearing now some 4 months in as I know Chicago lockbox aim to approve/deny within 5-6 months. Ours will eventually , if approved will move to CSC for the 2nd stage, but even then its up and down with the speed in which they are moving, 2 weeks ago I hear they are moving slower, this week they have speeded up.

while they don't work weekends, the computer systems post updates over the weekends (giving the feeling that a human actually did something over the weekend).

Maybe you'll have some news by Thursday ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I filed the I-130 for my husband in January and received a receipt dated January 17th. Does the 5 month waiting period mean we won't hear anything from the California Service Center until June 17th at the earliest? I have all the paperwork I need ready for the Affidavit of support, but we're not supposed to send that information out until we're prompted to do so, right? How do all of you know when your documents have been 'touched'?

I guess my questions may be premature, but I can't help but be antsy. I open the mail box every day with fingers crossed, just hoping we'll have some sort of contact from USCIS. Do you know how far they are into December? January can't be far behind....
