Are there any guides for this stage of the journey? We got approved on the 19th and are not sure what comes next. Are they going to send me a copy of whatever they send to my fiance? I'd like to be able to help her with the forms. Speaking of, where can I get a current, fillable DS-156 pdf? No matter where I try to download it from, I always end up at the same site where it wants me to fill it out online - yet it won't open in my browser.

So yeah, does anyone have any of that: a guide for this leg of the journey, a DS-156 pdf, or a copy of whatever is being sent to my fiance?

if you were approved on the 19th call and see if it has reached NVC yet and if they gave you your case number - call every few days and they will eventually tell u it was sent off. there is nothing for us at NVC it is just a stop on the way to the embassy. after they send it you can track the package (read this thread to find out how to track it (http://www.visajourn...nvc-to-embassy/). if you want more in depth guides look at the NVC forum

as for the DS-156 this is the best copy i could find http://www.***removed***....ample_ds156.pdf

it will at least give u an idea of whats on it

as for the form not opening in your browser double check your settings and the browser requirements

as for the forms - i would say post this to the Philippines forum - and maybe someone has a guide they can give you or if they post the forms on line someone will have a link.

good luck

I'd just try using a different browser. Sometimes Firefox especially acts tricky. I don't know about the Phillipines, but I did receive the documents that they sent my fiance, but it took about four weeks to get here! You can email the consulate and ask them to email you the packet which was a pdf and a word document in my case. It was much faster to just email him the packet and the documents afterwards. Good luck!

You can download instructions for K1/K2 process at the US Embassy Manila from this link: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3224.html

I believe this is what they should normally send as "packet 3". However I have read on VJ that many Filipino beneficiaries do not actually receive packet 3, or receive it very late in the game. But if you have your case number (it should be on the NVC letter)and it has been entered into the embassy's system, then you can pay the fee and make your appointment for interview.

Re DS-156, are you trying to open it on a MAC? I don't believe it is supported on the MAC OS. On my MAC I can view it, but would not be able to print it out properly.

Good luck!
