Hola a todos ! !

I have a doubt regarding the instruction placed outer side of my yellow envelope which is to be delivered to an US Immigration officer at the time I enter:

At the bottom of this envelope it is mentioned: PRESENT YOUR VISA FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY IN THE MIGRATION OFFICES PASS THROUGH CORDOBA BRIDGE

So I wonder if somebody else from Mexico got a similar note on their envelope and what did you do? :help:

I am planning to fly from Guadalajara, but to cross provably at BWI airport. But is it a must that I should pass through Cordoba bridge walking?

Your kind advice is much appreciated.

Thanks

Susy.

Hola!

congrats on getting your visa!

my wife got the same instructions. what we did was hire a taxi to take us to that poe. he even walked us into the immigration center. we were processed and the taxi guy took us back to our hotel. we eventually flew back to guadalajara. from gdl flew into sacrmaento california and did not have to deal with the poe thing. :D

aaagggghhhhhh just noticed that you guys are k1. What we did does NOT apply to you.

Ok, yes, i would guess that your best bet is to fly(or crosoover) into whatever poe, then follow the normal k1 procedures until you get travel and reentry paperwork done.

Daniel

Susy,

As I understand it, those instructions are simply meant to control which bridges people use as a way to control the crowds crossing. If you don't intend to cross from CDJ to El Paso but instead plan to fly, these instructions do not apply. After all, there is nothing in the K1 that requires you to enter at a certain point.

If you still feel unsure, your best bet is to contact the consulate at CDJ to clarify.

Good luck!
