Hello guys,

I juat call USCIS to find out what's going with my case cause it's been 5 months 2 weeks waiting for NOA2.

Their answer was same"your case is still under processing time frame" they are working on OCT 2nd,2010 right not.

they told me to wait 37 days more for response...if i don't get anything by that time, call them again.

5 months 2 weeksthey told me to wait 37 days more. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

I don't even know why USCIS have customer service, they are good for nothing...no matter who calls them...their answer will be same.

Guys seriously,i'm getting sick and tired of this immigration process.

I know i need to have PATIENCE here...been doing that for more than 5 months...still nothing.

i don't know what to do.

If you don't learn to have patience then you won't get through this easily. I waited almost 6 months for my NOA2 and although it was hard, coming on this forum and seeing others in the same boat as me gave me hope. Keep calm and keep the faith.

Welcome to the club....I know there have been a lot of relatively quick processes of I130's but generally it takes at least 5-6 months to receive approval and there just is not much you can do about it as long as you have submitted everything they could possibly need....we all want our cases to fly through the system...we got a big fat RFE on ours the second day of our 5th month, but luckily in less than a week of submitting the requested info we got approved....so as cliche as it is.....good things come to those who wait (generally speaking of course)

Just keep in mind our final goal is to have our partner with us the rest of our life....so in that perspective several months to a year is a relatively small price to pay for a lifetime with them ...you're almost there, allowing yourself to get overly frustrated now is only going to make easier to do so as you continue through this process...everyone here either is or has been in the same position so use that to your advantage to gain insight and learn what to do in the upcoming steps that you actually can have some control over..

Hello,

I am getting similar answers like your one and finally figured out the riddle of the this term "Normal Range". Interestingly I just posted my understaning at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/306363-processing-timeframe-i-think-i-got-what-it-meant/. And believe me, I am equally frustrated. But still keeping my hopes high, fingers crosed and hoping for a fast turnover. Just hang on their as this is just the largest step, not the end of the journey.

Good luck and wish the same for me :)

Call back again and say the processing timeframes for I-130s are 5 months. Put in a Service Request for being out of processing time. If they say no than hang up and call again. They have to take your request since it has past 5 months.

I completely understand your frustration but let me tell you what I did. I was given the exact same response. To which I asked to speak with a supervisor. They gave me a Tier 2 or 3 person, she reviewed my case and told me that she sees that we were outside of the normal processing timeline and that she would send a request to the VSC to please take a look at our file and she gave me a reference number. Not sure this will help or do any good, but it did make me feel a little better to speak with someone who was at least willing to put in a request to have the file reviewed. Maybe give this a try?? If not, be patient, it is hard as heck I know, we all want our approvals as soon as possible. But just have faith that eventually your approval will come and that you can move forward in the process.
