WHAT NEXT?

Hi Everyone, so I am wondering what is next now. My fiance has entered the U.S. On the K-1 visa and we now live together. They havent been very helpfull with what happenes next with the process. Is it just wait till we are married and then do the adjustment of status part or is there something in between? I have heard that I can process for her social security number now but Im not sure. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Get married, get your marriage certificate and apply for AOS, apply for SSC and whatever else you need like driver license etc.

Get put on the bank account start building credit, get put on the car insurance as a driver and whatever else you need to do.

So basicaly everything has to happen after you are married correct? You cant apply for SSN without being married? And adjustment of status which is I guess AOS, how do you apply for that exactly? Are there directions someplace? Thank you very much.

You can apply for the SSC before you are married if you wish, just as long as the I-94 is still valid. I applied after I was married to get my married name on it instead of maiden name. Some SS offices are lame and make it a big deal to get your SSC but yes you can apply before marriage. Bring the passport with valid I-94.
