Stepdaughters US passport came in today, no expedient fee, 23 days from the time she sent in the application.

Now for her certificate!!! Plenty of room in that envelope for that, but wasn't in there.

Reason for fast service? We weren't in a hurry.

I never checked mine online.

but it did take exactly 4 weeks in Miami to receive my passport. 2 days later, I received the certificate in a separate

envelope. no expedite no rush.

Finally, it's really over.

Stepdaughters' naturalization certificate just came in the mail, the plastic folder we put it in is missing, but at least her certificate is one one piece.

Now I have to find a hole to bury it in. Now we feel we are done.

I also get this message whenever I try to check the status of my renewal app

Your passport application was not found. It is possible your application has not made it into our system yet.

I sent my renewal app to the US Embassy in London on March 17th. They signed for it on the 18th. On April 2 my account was charged for the fee.

I've written to their site asking what's going on and that my app isn't on the tracking system. So far no reply. I guess I should assume they

have it and eventually I'll get the new one but it's nerve wracking having no idea where it is in the system and when I might expect to get it.

I'm trying to book a holiday for my husband's birthday next month and don't want to make non-refundable reservations if I don't get my passport

back in time.

  • 2 weeks later...

I applied for my passport at the beginning of April. I applied at the courthouse, not expedited, just normal service.

I checked the online status daily....it told me my passport application was being processed.

It told me the same thing this morning. An hour later, the mail lady brought my passport...just 2 weeks after I applied.

I just checked my application online, it's still telling me it's being processed.

The online status is as reliable as the USCIS online status!!:bonk:

But....I'm now the owner of a nice shiny blue US passport!!
