Hey everyone - first time poster, long time reader. Question for those with Mumbai consular processing - our file was completed at the NVC on Sept 23 but we still haven't received an interview date. Looking at Dave's timeline they received an interview date within 10-12 days. We are already running longer than that. Would it be fair to say that we are going to get a December date? Kind of getting nervous =/

Hey, Welcome!

No need to be worried. My wife's friend in India is going thru the same process as you and I are. She got case closed with NVC on 9/22. They have yet to receive an interview date. Now, if NVC sticks to the every second week of the month deal, you should get an interview date notice this week sometime. Mumbai consulate has both schedules for October and November posted. Getting a October date is quite impossible now, November is bleak but December is easily achievable.

Hang in there! Any day now you should get an interview date.

Hey, Welcome!

Thanks for that. Nice to know I am not in the boat alone. I figure that if we don't get late November, we will get early December. I looked through the November list that's posted and don't see us on there - so more likely than not it will be December. Eek!

Her interview will be on November 10th, she will submit documents on November 9th.

My wife is planning on going to VFS Ahmadabad late next week before Diwali to turn in her Passport Clearance Certificate and pay the VFS fees.

My wife is planning on going to VFS Ahmadabad late next week before Diwali to turn in her Passport Clearance Certificate and pay the VFS fees.

This is the last step before the interview!

Oh good! I have a question about that. They sent a packet out saying that they want all of the documents submitted to the VFS office, but we've already submitted them to NVC, so do they need new copies of everything? I don't get it. I think all we need to turn in is the medical report and pay the fee of Rs. 387, but now I'm confused. Didn't your wife already turn in the passport clearance certificate to NVC? We already turned that in back in August. Anyway, let me know if you have some insight.

04-13-11: I-130 sent

04-15-11: NOA1 notification

07-07-11: NOA2 notification

08-09-11: NVC Receipt (case and invoice id numbers received)

08-10-11: Emailed DS-3032

08-12-11: Paid AOS fee online and emailed DS-3032

08-16-11: DS-3032 accepted

08-17-11: Paid IV fee online and mailed AOS packet

08-20-11: Mailed IV packet

08-24-11: AOS packet approved

08-30-11: IV packet approved

08-30-11: Case complete at NVC!!!

10-04-11: Granted an expedite

11-04-11: Interview & APPROVAL - visa received same day

11-08-11: POE - Seattle, WA
