He should also include a letter on WHY he didn't file taxes. I have to do the same being, as a poor college student, I've never made enough to be required to file my taxes.

You should not have to if you filed taxes. If you did not file taxes than you should submit a statement as to why you did file.

I just received an email from the USCIS officer that is handling my expedited case. Somehow our passport photos became separated from our paperwork and they are requesting to send new ones. I had mine retaken today but must wait until the hubby can email me new ones of him around midnight tonight my time. The letter states that the pics must be from within 30days so we are just doing new ones. The nice thing is that the adjucator sent me a direct address to send them to him quickest... It was a po box so I replied asking for a physical street address so I can overnight them.. and WALLAH he responded with a physical address! I honestly cant believe how helpful the officer has been! Once all is said and done I will be sending USCIS a letter complimenting the exceptional customer service that Officer Arshad has provided!

Tata for now.. hopefully an approval on Friday!

I do believe he is! He is sooo helpful... I cant believe he emailed me the RFE instead of just regular mailing it! And then to continue emailing me giving me overnight addresses and things blew my mind lol. He deserves a raise! lol

These guys that review the case are on a deadline from what I read on here on VJ. What I mean by this is they have to have a certain number of files processed and what not and to have a steady flow of files processed each time period (not sure monthly or weekly etc.). They also are docked if the case comes back to them due to an issue they fail to screen and was caught later down the process. Maybe your reviewing officer is trying to get empolyee of the month or saving his job...who knows... lol

My timeline estimates have now creeped into July! As always, I remain realistic, but it's nice to figure that my turn could come sooner than I anticipated when I first filed.

Hows it going on the NVC process?

Anyone having their NVC number yet?

And also, i'm moving to another place mid august, when and how should I give them my change of adress?

Any suggestions?

Mainly needed it for her birth certificate as everything else was in English.

I also had her get our wedding invitations (both sides) translated so she can use it as proof during the interview if needed.

For English translation of Birth Certificate.., do we also need a letter(or affidavit etc.) to prove that the translator was able to translate in English and English copy is correct translation of regional copy.

Also, once translated into English, is it required to send original Birth Certificate as well.., or no need for that?

I would be prepared to send it out late July, so that you will be at your new residence and settled in when they send you postal mail for the visa process.

I am sending in Original birth certificate and the attested translation as well.

I can not recally exactly on what the translation says, but I know there is a sample of what they want on the travel.state.gov webpage.

Now news yet Lytha.

I would be prepared to send it out late July, so that you will be at your new residence and settled in when they send you postal mail for the visa process.

Would it be best to allready apply the changes in sending the AOS packet, well my DS 23O etc .. And include a letter to tell them about the adress change or what?

I'm still stuck at the USCIS to NVC bridge. NVC has yet to recive my file from USCIS...it will be 2 weeks tomorrow since I got NOA2.

One minor confusion I have now ... Are we suppose to send in all the Original Copies (and not photocopies) to NVC.. e.g. Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificates, PCC etc.

I remember USCIS had explicitly asked to send only photocopies and not original copies.. However I don't see it with NVC.
