Divorce docs as applied to CR-1 applicants

Is a foreign spouse's translated and certified divorce certificate among the necessary documents required for the interview of CR-1 applicants? I realize this is a requirement for K-1 visa applicants, but I'm not sure if this is the case for CR-1 applicants.

Yes it is required for IR1/CR1 applicants too.

Oh you bet. send it in, my wife and I sent both of ours in when we applied, otherwise you could be wasting time for an rfe.

1. originals gathered up at NVC during NVC processing

2. originals MAY BE asked for at interview, on interview day.

please note that GUZ IV has a 2 day intake/interview process now.

Thanks for the advice. I think I should rephrase this question: Must original divorce documents be accompanied by certified translations at the foreign spouse's interview in her country? Or, is the original divorce document itself sufficient?

those documents are gathered up AT NVC, during NVC processing.

If using EP at NVC, the originals must be shown on interview day/intake day in GUZ IV.

since the civil document is not in English, a translation MUST ACCOMPANY the original document..

if 'going postal/paper @ NVC' - these documents must be presented with the DS-230, in original form, at NVC.

if doing EP at NVC, the SCANS of the documents are sent in during NVC processing, and the ORIGINALS are presented on interview day at GUZ IV.
