Picture album or just separate photos at interview?

Hi all,

I was preparing the evidence and the question in a tittle popped up. I researched but saw something similiar only in 'Philippines' sub forum. There they advise just to take photos separately because the window through which CO receives the papers/evidence is not big enough.

So I thought my best bet would be to ask you guys, people who has been at Moscow consulate already, how big is the window. lol

It might seem not an issue but I have already organised the pics with signs who/where/when and as we have a lot of pictures I found to bring an album just easier.

Thanks,

I have not been to the Moscow consulate, but if it is like most you will be on one side of a window and the person collecting data on the other side with a small opening in the glass to pass things through. Like a bank teller window.

I had a photo album and clearly it was not going to fit through that hole in the glass. The guy said "just give me four random photos" By the way, other than the documents required, that was the ONLY "evidence of relationship" he took. I had tons of stuff and his reaction was "Meh...have you got any photos?" YES SIR, right here, about 400 photos! "Just give me 4 random photos" :( After all that he didn't want to hear our story and look at all our photos. Can you imagine?

But take all you have, just in case.

We took probably an albums worth in a big stack. If I recall, the Kiev CO took four or five of them showing us with her family, or maybe those were attached to the application. I can't remember. They looked at tax returns and not much else though. Vika had a truckload of proof that they were absolutely not interested in.

At my wife's K-1 interview they were very interested in looking at a few postcards and birthday/holiday cards. I think they looked at one or two photos. No photo album here. Bank, employment and tax documents were more important.

The photo album will not fit under the window.

Our entire collection or required documents and copies of the original petition and additional evidence was organized in sheet protectors inside of a 1 inch thick 3 ring notebook (slightly bulging).

We just taped the photos to a piece of paper and then put them in one of those clear plastic sheet protectors, and that seemed to work well enough. I would not go with photo albums. Your fiancee will have enough ####### to lug around with her, without the extra burden of a bulky photo album. Even loose photos are probably fine, just label them on the back. And good luck!

The second time we went (K-2 to follow) Alla went with Sergey and I packaged all the documents in one of those expandable folders and labled all the separate dividers. Everything was in one "pouch" so to speak. Everything was "loose" inside the folder. Alla just pulled out what they asked for and handed it over.

I think my wife took about a dozen photos, all loose. Most were just printed out emails.

Thanks,

We had both individual photos and photos printed out in color on a page. They took all.
