Why would you want to speed up this process? Enjoy being single while you still can!

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Congratulations Milushka! I think this answers the question as to whether or not Moscow will reschedule interviews. I'm so happy for you. I hope future VJers interviewing in Moscow will see this thread and realize that there is hope for an earlier interview date.

I also wanted to mention that the reasons for changing the interview date were never brought up during the interview (we had valid reasons). Some friends of ours simply wrote to them that they missed each other terribly and their request was granted. Their interview was rescheduled for last Friday and visa was approved.

:star: thank you, dogspot, i just followed your and other 'moscow' vjres example&advice. Much appreciate ! Yes, it is indeed a possible thing, our reasons were 1. 2 birthdays (mine and my fiance)&anniversary coming in may&early june 2. my father is able to travel with me to states only in the beginning of june because of work. 3. we ve been in process for looooong almost 8 months so far

I would say those were rather non emergency reasons, but im happy there was a spot for us 3 weeks earlier. :star:

Congrats Milushka! May is going to fly by before you know it. :)

If everyone "games the system" with merely impatient and groundless requests for earlier interviews, the system isn't working fairly. I waited like others. When the embassy grants a reasonable request to get kids in school, etc. I don't have a big issue with people moving up in the que. Otherwise, the date is the date.

You waited like the others because you thought you had to.

I agree with this in general, although after reading through the site I get the impression that there are perhaps holes in the interview calendar, perhaps because somebody cancelled their K1 or changed their date or whatever. In those cases, I don't see any harm in somebody with a later date back-filling the schedule. Maybe that leaves their original date open for somebody else to back-fill, or maybe it means one of the hard-working consulate officers gets a little breather. :)
