I was getting kind of excited after all the approvals on Monday; but now Vermont is back to normal. I guess they shutdown before the rest of the government.

I'm still happy for the approvals in California; it's a jealous kind happy, but still happy.

I think the people who got all excited about the numerous approvals on Monday jinxed it!!!...just kidding, Vermont is just what it is and the government shutdown will not help any of us, unfortunately.

How do you check what approvals form service centers? I got what I think is my first NOA, telling me they will look over my case and cashed my check on feb 9th. I am with the cali service center.. Would the NOA2 be the next time I hear from them? IS it better not to hear anything? It says that the average time for cali is 5 months..accurate? I am living in paraguay with my fiance and have limited access to the internet. If anyone has the answers that would be great. Thanks

lizinparaguay -> we usually check Igor's List (http://cse.ssl.berkeley.edu/igor/vjdata/default.aspx) for the recent approvals. but they only post VJ members that update their timeline.

I don't understand how they get away with doing 1 approval per day (I know there are also people applying who are not on vj but I'm sure its still little action). It's not fair, if we were in csc, we might be close to getting NOA2 already. So frustrating looking at igor's list for vsc and csc

I guess they figure they can do a lot on one day and then slack off the rest of the month, this isn't acceptable... I wish we can do something

That's the only problem with the list: it is just people on here. And on top of that, it's people who follow up. Those who are not getting theirs are of course voicing their opinions the loudest so it gets distorted. I've been here for 2 months and some change now, but I'm not sure I would report that I got mine - I think I'd be too happy and would just want to move on.

Maybe this is mostly a West Coast site

After sitting here and watching the lack of progress in Vermont, I know I'm going to report when I get my NOA2. I'll be happy about moving on, but I certainly want to boost the spirits of those who are still waiting.
