CSC sending to NVC

I've only just worked out how you see if your case has been touched, and i'm getting paranoid already about whether the CSC is actually doing anything! WE were approved on the 18th August and so far we;ve heard nothing about the NVC receiving our file or sending it onto London, and from other people's timelines it looks like I should be receiving packet three about now...

Also, the case was touched on the 19th August, but i'm guessing that was just when they put the approval up. Are you supposed to get touched after approval??

Hope anyone can help me, but UK people especially...

Have you contacted NVC? Call them, talk to a live operator, give them your NOA1 number, the beneficiary's birth date and full name, and the petitioner's phone number. They'll be able to tell you if they've gotten the case from CSC, your new number case and whether they've sent it to the embassy. You can also e-mail them (mention your NOA1 date on the subject line). Also, it may take a few weeks for service centers to actually mail the cases to NVC, so don't worry too much.

I've tried emailing a couple of times but no reply. Ed called the CSC a while ago and they said that they would send him a letter once it had been forwarded to the embassy in London. I shall get him to call again...

CSC will likely not give you the info you need. Ask your fiance to call NVC either early in the morning or late at night. If you guys try to e-mail NVC again (they do reply, but it takes a few days), mention the NOA1 number.

"An automated recorded message system can answer many of these inquiries 24 hours a day, seven days a week (603 334-0700). Operators are available to respond to more difficult inquiries from 7:30 AM to 12:30 AM (EST) Monday through Friday. Status of case information and access to an operator can only be provided by entering your NVC case number or CIS receipt number on a touch-tone telephone. Case inquiries can also be made via email at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. NVC only has information on petitions it has received. If our automated service does not recognize the CIS file or receipt numbers you entered, most likely we have not yet received your petition."

It's important that when he calls, he talks to a live operator. The automated system won't be enough.

Don't be concerned. I also have a same NOA 2 date of August 18,2006. Mine is for Colombia but also out of the California Service Center. I did some timeline research for CSC and discovered that the lag time is approximately three weeks. I am expecting NVC to acknowledge by September 8, 2006. From that point I noticed that it took less than a week for NVC to send the information to the Embassy, some as early as two days.

emailing NVC really works!! (it took 3 days to them to reply me)

I also sent an e-mail to Consulate and they sent me information about our process and our case number.

Our case has been approved on 12 August and my fiance got mail from NVC last Saturday (09/02).
