Hello all,

I am almost done preparing the packet I am sending to Comoros for Ali's interview. FedEx does not deliver there which means I have to pay an exorbitant price for DHL Anyway, am I doing to much/ over the top/ or am I missing something. Should I take something out....please let me know

I am particularly worried because we were supposed to be in Cairo together which would allow us to compile this packet together and I would be able to go to the interview but because of circumstances we both had to return to our own countries so I am mad nervous

Here is what I have: btw everything is in a clear sheet protector so I dont have to write clear labeled sheet protector a bajillion times

1) Letter explaining everything in the packet and its meaning, the potential interview process, and guidelines for this packet (aka do not put it in your checked luggage)

2) Letter detailing his responsibilities- what forms he needs to get in Comoros and where to put them/ what to do when the embassy contact him

3) Interview Section

- Empty but Labeled sheet protectors for his documents: Appointment Letter, Interview Confirmation, Proof of Payment, DS-156, DS-156K, and Medical Forms

- Police Report Comoros + Copy

- English Translation for Police Report from Comoros

- Police Report from Egypt + Copy

- English Translation for Police Report from Egypt

4) General Petition

- 2 copies NOA1

- Copy I-129f Petition

- Original plane ticket for me to cairo on 9/7/2009

- Visa + Entry Stamp to cairo on 9/7/2009

-Ali ticket to comoros + entry stamp 3/17/2010

- Me ticket to comoros + entry stamp + visa 3/17/2010

- Pictures

- Me- Copy of US passport

- Me- Certified birth certificate + copy

- Copy of our expedite request

- NOA2 + 2 copies

5) Financial Info

- me - I-134 + statement of my current financial situation (grad student)+ taxes + bank statements + transcript from the American University in Cairo

- 1st Co Sponsor (My sister) 0 I-134 + taxes + bank statements + letter from employer

- 2nd Co Sponsor (close family friend) in case for some reason they dont accept my sister - I-134 + taxes + bank statements + letter from employer

6) Proof of relationship

- 2 updated intent to marry letters from Ali

- 2 updated intent to marry leters from me

- Ali's ticket from Cairo to Comoros ( home visit)

- Me- ticket to cairo after a home visit

- Me- ticket back home during the revolution

- Ali- ticket back home during the revolution

- Ali- proof of enrollment in classes American University in Cairo

- Me- transcript from American University in Cairo

- Skype call log from me to him

- Skype chats (abridged)

Well al I can say if they deny you on that then they need their heads read.lol You have a lot of info there. Not sure about the 2 letters of intent to marry as you would have sent them in with 129f petition so maybe just one of them.Ahh with your co sponsors you may need to get some pay stubs too at least 3 weeks worth. I am not sure about your certified birth certificate. a copy should do and have that certified. I would never send originals and in my country they did not ask for my now husbands B/C as they had that from 129f. But all looks good to me Good luck

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month

Our bundle of paperwork looked similar to the below :)

Glad I'm not the only one that went a bit overboard and wanted to be prepared for anything ;-)

Refreshed (updated) letters of intent are good to include.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
