Tanya's AOS approved!!! We received the welcome letter yesterday. Green Card to follow.

Some observations:

Tanya's POE was 05-01-10. We did not file for AOS until 01-25-11--well after the 90 day point that has created much consternation on VJ. We experienced absolutely no delays or problems because of this. Our AOS was transferred to California on 03-01-11 and approved on 03-25-11. No interview.

We received a EAD/Advance Parole Combo card on 03-24-11.

All completely painless.

Congrats!!!! did you guys get txt and email about the AOS approval I am just curious because I got txt/email on Monday for the I485 (AOS) so I was wondering did you receive three txt/email for the AOS. We have not had any movement on the EAD/AP... :)

We didn't sign up for email/txt notification this time. My understanding is that they order card production the same time the hard copy approval is generated so you should be seeing something soon.

Isn't the AOS approval the green card itself?

Congrats!

With every action that USCIS takes you get a hard copy letter. We received the approval letter with the A number. It also states that we would receive the "Green Card" within three weeks. Usually it comes sooner.

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!
