K-1 Packet 3 question/Canada

I am confused based on reading the canada consulate page on this site and the information listed on the consulate site itself.

Bottom line, what forms do i need to send back for packet 3?

on the US consular site it says

For all applicants (including fiancé(e):

DS-230 part I and part II – one copy per each applicant, including children

Checklist of documents to gather for the interview – one copy per family is sufficient.

2 color photographs (Photograph Requirements)

Photocopy of the biographic data page of the applicant’s passport

For fiancé(e) visa applicants only, please complete additional documents as follows:

DS-156 – 2 copies https://evisaforms.state.gov/ds156.asp

DS-156K – 1 copy http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/82063.pdf

Form DS-160 – one copy, available online at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

On the visajourney page for "what forms to send back to the consulate" it only lists

DS-230

DS-160 Online Form

Checklist

Main question is around DS-156K, because with that form it says you must attached the birth certificate, police check, Evidence of financial support and evidence of engagement. If we send those in, then we wont have them for the interview, so i wanted to make sure I did it right the first time around.

Help please!!!

Thanks,

john

make copy of the originals, when you go to the interview, ask for the originals back, they should make copies if not give they your photo copy, a lot of embassys are useing the new DS-160 it replaces the DS-156,the DS-156must be filed online it goes to the embassy, the photo goes on the DS-160 uploaded, and bar coded,

For packet 3 ....Send the signed checklist.....1 copy of the DS-160, DS-156K and the DS-230...2 copies of the DS-156. DO NOT send anything but the forms and checklist, everything else you take to the interview with you. The checklist just means that you will have them at the time of the interview. So check off the medical too as you will have that before the interview.

For Montreal you do not send originals or copies of birth certificate, police clearance etc....just the forms and signed checklist.
