Packet 4 Documents & Medical Exam

Hi All,

I received my Packet 4 for my K1 visa (YAY!). The list of documents that I have to bring similar ones I had to submit for Packet 3 (ex - birth certificate, police certificate, passport sized photo).

So I'm okay with getting all the documents again but my question is in regards to the passport picture. I submitted 2 passport pictures for Packet 3 and have 3 left for the medical exam.

Now that they're asking for an additional 2 pictures, should I re-take NEW pictures for the Consulate & medical exam OR just keep the 3 original ones in the hopes that the Montreal Consulate has the 2 I've already sent to them on file?

Medical exam - how fast does the medical office process the results? I still have to schedule my exam for the office in Toronto.

Thanks so much!

What are you filing for a k-1?

If so you should not have sent all that stuff with the packet 3, you should have kept it with you for the interview. Packet 4 is only a letter stating to book your interview. You do not need to collect everything all over again.

Medical turn around depends on your medical office usually max 4 days turn around because of blood tests. You can always call the medical center and ask them.

Please fix your timeline - it states you only have your NOA1 and states your consul is Armenia?

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Thanks Inky & CBM.

Inky - I was wondering if my packet 3 was overkill (eg. the documents I submitted) but I sent in all those documents because my packet 3 stated that I gather all the docs/forms and get everything in on their checklist. I guess I was overly paranoid of any hold up so I sent in everything so I prepared it all for Packet 3 submission.

Yep! lol only 2-3 of the items needed to be sent back with p3 and thos were a couple of forms and the check list. Basically you bring all the papers to the interview that you collected for the checklist, it lets them know you are ready.

The only hold up would be if they lost any of thos items you sent with p3 or if they lost anything from the original I-129F submission really. Oh or if the medical was not ready in time, they would wait till they got it to give the visa.

GL at your interview, its not as scary as it feels, don't forget to book the DHL pickup on the website.

You will need to provide 3 passport style color photos for your medical and 2 at your interview.

I would recommend you get a total of 5 identical photos.

Good luck!

ROC completed April 2014

AOS from K1 completed February 2012
