Yea, i have been getting info on how my Dad would get a visa/visa waiver elsewhere. I'm very aware that if people comment on this thread on which waiver is needed some all powerful moderator will move it, thats why this one is purely to try and get a feel for what other K1ers would do.

All I want to add to this is it is your choice of course but your Dad knew about this long ago and this could have all been sorted earlier and you would not be having this issue now. Your fiancee is waiting for you and it's not fair on either of you to have to wait longer. To the person who suggested you go CR1 route bloody stupid comment, you have just been aproved 129f and K1. If your Dad can't get this sorted now within a month sorry I would tell you go be with your fiancee and marry her. This is your life he has had his and now its' your turn. he can come over later if he gets a visa and spend time with you then. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the thoughts!

and thanks to everyone else so far as well. i'm still unsure as to what to do, my Dad has started the appropriate (or what we think is... lol) application process. i have my interview a week today and so need to make my mind up soon.

I came to the US in 2008 on a K1. We got married on day 87... My parents were NOT there with me... And you know what? It doesn't matter because to be honest... A wedding is really not that big of a deal. There are other situations in life you will need your father more... Think about it. When you have children for example? Maybe now is the time to think about- how do I get my father to be able to come and visit in the future?

Good luck to you!
