Hey guys,

Sorry if i've posted this in the wrong section, im sure someone will end up moving it if i'm wrong.

Firstly, i've been doing my budget for fees and it just seems im getting a little lost on what i'll be actually paying for an how much.

the petition was paid for which was fine, because it was only 1 payment so that was nice and easy :)

However, The second part to the K1 process gets a little tricky.

So far I know theres these to be paid for;

Medical (anyone from Australia know how much?)

Police Cert ($200?)

Nonimmigrant visa application processing fee, Form DS-156 ($?)

Flight to the USA

Then AOS??

If anyone could help me that would be very helpful! My work seems to be cutting back my hours and it's stressing me out, I'm a big ol' stressball having to deal with the wait, work and being away from my fiance :(

Thanks so much,

Chloe & Patrick

Ok Medical costs around $200 Police report in Sydney $157 i think and then the visa is $420 flights to LA depends on where you're leaving from but from Sydney 1 way around 1500 return it can be as cheap as $1900 to 2500 depends time of year day of the week and airline. I used to google cheap flights and get the best price that way and I flew Delta and find them great.

Sorry to hijack but in terms of what is being paid to the embassy...

Application (MRV) Fee - $350 USD

Visa issuance fee - ???? I cannot find this information on the embassy website, there is only information for non-immi visa types.

For me,

Police Check in NSW - $175

Medical (with Dr Millar in Sydney) - $338 in total

- $31 (Serology)

- $65 (Chest X-Ray)

- $242 (American Visa Examination)

I already had my immunisations ahead of time and think I had to pay about $35 for the Tdap jab.

Hope this helps x

So its $350 + $420 for the K1 itself? Or just $420?
