Really??? I just hope the staff could have just told that "your wife is clear and is for immunization" than "let her go to 2nd floor on the 30th" WHEEEEEEEEEEW

Well.....call back and ask more specific questions!

When I called about my culture test result.....I asked specific questions and got specific answers.

Just try! :star:

Yea, that's what Matt is doing right now. Because the first girl said that that's all she can say - "go to 2nd floor" then Matt was given a number to immunization department if he wants to know more.

A man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. – Genesis 2:24

Here's something that is not BS. Visitors to the U.S. from the Philippines do not have to undergo a medical exam. Why not?

Because as it says --they are only coming to visit for a short period whether be it for business or pleasure . They are not coming to live .

My buddy came to USA 2 years ago on a work visa from Norway, His wife from Philippines came on his Visa to USA. After being in USA about 1.5 years she went to do her AOS. Found out she was positive for TB, all they did was tell her to stay in her house and for a few weeks while she took her TB medicine. Funny how she was able to get into American by a backdoor.

Then you have all these Illegal Aliens from Mexico, estimated 20 million. That come to USA illegally and they are never checked for disease, Criminal history, and once the make it illegally to the USA they are welcomed with opened arms by the USA Government...

TCO --do u ever read what u write before u post ?? :bonk: If someone comes illegally --how are they checked ? who checks them (for disease and criminal history) . The illegals come thru the back door without being detected by the customs . Who in the Usa govt welcomes them with open arms . ???? Maybe the people in Texas welcomes them  but not the Us govt :bonk: I am sometimes amazed at yr ramblings .

Because as it says --they are only coming to visit for a short period whether be it for business or pleasure . They are not coming to live .

Pulmonary tuberculosis' mode of transmission is via respiratory droplets. So, if an infectious person is still breathing, then s/he can transmit the bacteria and potentially infect others.

The length of time spent or purpose (whether for business or pleasure) in the U.S. is completely irrelevant to the bacteria's pathogenicity.

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Philippines
Timeline

Matt just called St. Luke's and was told to let his wife (me) to go to 2nd floor on the 30th. Someone please enlighten. What's going on? I see that mine is a unique case.

Oh wow, If I remember it correctly, you will find in the second floor area are the immunization room, the interview room for those who undergo 3 days sputum collection and at the left side of the elevator & stairs is the medication room for those who were postive in TB. This is where they take their medicine for those who found positive on TB. I dont want to scare you or be negative about your situation, like you I also undergo sputum test/ culture & waited 8 weeks for the result which is really makes me worried and stressed but I was very thankful that all my test went negative. You know they are very meticulous in the xray result. I hope and pray that you will hear a good news. Goodluck!!

I hope so too. Matt will call them tom to find out. We are also thinking if this was because of the congressional expedite sent last Monday. It was confirmed in the NVC that the expedite was sent to the embassy already. Since St. Luke's posted my name in the embassy that I'm not yet cleared from them, maybe the embassy called them about it. I had a clear x-ray, there was just tiny blurry, there were no scars. We called the congress and thought that maybe because of the expedite letter. We'll see when Matt calls tom. I was just told that my medical has the result already and I'm good to return on the 30th, that's my 4th week.

Scar just means dead lung tissue, blurry could be Active TB. Clear x-ray , just tiny blurry? So which is it? Clear or tiny blurry? Are you trying to make an oxymoron?
