Congratulation...And when is the wedding happening.....

Pls i have few questions for you....and i hope you would help clarify some of these things for me

My package arrive Lagos Consulate on 14/3/2011...and i don't just know what to do next and is been an issue with my fiancee becus she is insisting that i go to the embassy to follow things up but the new instruction says they don't take walk in inquiries in the Consulate anymore

What do i do

Do i go on and do my police clearing and My medical while waiting...and how would the embassy contact me....and how long will it take them to contact me....

Secondly,Can i be able to do my medicals on weekends considering the fact that am working on work days

Which of the offices do i get the required birth certificate....and how much dose it cost....and Finally what are the required forms for me to fill.

Pls advice me....Once again...Congratulations and Happy married life in advance....

You do not need to go to the embassy once your case is in Lagos they will send you the beneficiary an email and it will have this link http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visa_forms.html inside the link it tells you how to go about the medical and the police check and the "long" birtcertificate you can get that from the local govt in your area. Once the embassy gets your petition it takes them about 3weeks to send you the email with pkt3 and pkt4 sometimes the wait may be longer depending on if they are back logged good luck!!!!

First of all, congratulations on your recent approval!

Since you know the consulate has your package, you or your finace can email the consulate requesting that they send Packact 3 & 4 AND ask for an interview date. They will email you with the packets along with your interview date. For me it took them about 2 weeks to reply to my email. Once you get your packets you can go ahead and work on them right away. Yes the hospital is open on Saturdays, you can try to schedule your medical then. Sorry I can't help you with the birth certificate. Not sure why you need one now.
