Proof of Vaccinations

Hi all!

Got another question for any fellow Aussies...

What did you use as proof of having the required vaccinations? If I have read correctly the main ones I need to have are Tetanus, MMR, and varicella.

My problem is that I had the Tetanus/Diphtheria/Polio and MMR done at school...and only have the slip of paper that they gave us that had the date stamped on it and what it was. No batch number of the vaccine or anything, not very official-looking. Just wondering whether the panel physician would accept these as proof. Anyone else been in a similar situation? What did you do?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

I did not have any proof of mine but went to my local docs and they did a serology test to see what I had. She gave a letter about my tetanus too which I had done in 2006. Get that done first and then you should be good as we are all vaccinated in Australia at clinics and school.

Thanks for your reply. Did it cost much to have that done? And u still had to have the blood test done by the panel physician also I'm assuming since it checks for different things?

I also did not know where to start with tracking down my immunisation records since I grew up here and in the UK. I just had a serology test which you can do on medicare. Much less stress and paperwork :)
