I know I'm still MONTHS away from my interview but I'm trying to get everything ready before hand ( vaccination records etc, don't think I'm able to take the medical before hand??) so my question is what police records do they require for the interview? I just went to the local police station and they said they have a name check that searches for any criminal records in the country associated with your name ( the lady said she thinks this was what I needed) then she said there was on that involved them taking my finger prints.

Both cost 50$

Anyone with experience in the situation would be awesome, also saw on BC's website a police report that I could request online for 20$??

Name check only, do not need finger prints unless you have criminal history. Medical can only be done when you have your case number for the embassy, before the interview.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

You wouldn't happen to have a link for a name check? The only thing I can find online is the RCMP criminal records check that requires finger prints, and the one threw BC Gov seems to be more of an employment thing, ( are you going to be working with children etc etc)

I don't have a link sorry, in Ottawa ON I just went down to my local RCMP building downtown ( was the largest/main one ) I filled out a form with my name birthday etc waited to get called to the window, they ran it through a huge machine that printed some stuff on it, the lady stamped it with the seal and I paid for it and was out in about 25 mins-ish (lota people were there that day).

They had two sheets, one was for employment with children, the other sheet was for "other".

To use it for your visa application, it needs to be no more than one year old at the time of the interview, as far as I know. I paid $45 for mine (Canada-wide, working with minors etc) from my local police station. I also had to wait 6 weeks... it seems to vary across the country...

Payed 40$ for mine, it will say valid for 6 months on it but the embassy views it as valid for 1 year. If the interview comes pretty close to the end of the validity then you will need to get another for the interview.
