Hi everyone,

I'm almost done getting everything together for my visa application. On Form DS-160, it asks for the application receipt/petition number. Is this the MTL number of our case file or is it the number on our NOA form? Thank you and I wish everyone the best of luck in their journey!

That would be the receipt number on the NOA1.....EAC or WAC number.

Hrmm... that could be a problem because I filled in the MTL number...

April, 2009 - We met

May, 2009 - We wooed

June, 2010 - We got engaged, looking forward to a small August 2010 wedding

July 22, 2010 - NOA1

**5 months of patient waiting**

December 29, 2011 - call around for information about delay

January 5, 2011 - RFE notice (first online status update yet!)

January 10, 2011 - RFE Hardcopy

January 13, 2011 - RFE Response acknowledged

January 24, 2011 - NOA2 (at last!!)

February 3, 2011 - application sent from NVC to Montreal (aka. the Abyss?)

March 7, 2011 - Packet 3 sent to me

March 10, 2011 - Packet 3 delivered to Montreal

March 21, 2011 - Packet 4 sent to me

April 5, 2011 - Medical

April 13, 2011 - Interview - approved!

April 20, 2011 - visa in hand

May 9, 2011 - POE (Buffalo, NY)

May 10, 2011 - wedding :)

I don't think it will be a problem. I'm sure they can fix it quite easily :-)

Thank you very much for your quick response. How sure are you? I would hate to get denied over something silly like that. I apologize if I'm sounding paranoid though.

I have sent my packet 3....It was logged and I had my packet 4 and interview date....So pretty sure that if it were a problem I wouldn't have gotten this far :-)

If it was wrong, they might just ask you for the correct one at your interview, if they cared.

On the original I-129F, my fiance accidentally put HIS old A-number (he's naturalized) on the spot for MY A-number, which didn't exist at the time. At the interview, I saw how they had scratched it out, and put it under his name. Clearly they figured it out! I was pretty nervous that we would get RFE'd over it, but it was fine.

I'm sure Jeannie is right anyway, and it's the WAC or EAC or whatver Vermont uses

May 25th, 2010 : Filed I-129F at CSC

June 1st, 2010 : NoA1

June 7th, 2010 : Touch

October 19th, 2010: Touch

October 20th, 2010: NoA2! (141 days)

November 8th, 2010: Received Packet 3 from Montreal

November 10th, 2010: Sent Packet 3 back to Montreal

November 25th: Received Packet 4 & Scheduled interview!

March 8th, 2011: Interview in Montreal - Approved!

April 30th, 2011: Move to CA

May 6th, 2011: Married <3

May 31st, 2011: Filed AOS

June 6th, 2011: NoA1

June 13th, 2011: Received Notice for Biometrics

July 7th, 2011: Biometrics

August 22, 2011: AOS Interview - Approved!

August 29th, 2011: Greencard in hand!
