So my husband who just came to the US in August and he is now work so when I filed my taxes we filed joint and his income now for 2011 and mind will be more than enough to get his daughter the problem is he does have taxes papers for previous years will that work or will I need to find a nother person because for 2009 I was unemployed and my taxes weren't enough. My cousin joint sponsored my husband and I really don't want to ask her again . thanks in advance.

You can only use 2010 and will not have a problem.

what i'm look at is that now they raise the level i'm short by 40.00 and hubby started workin at the end on November so his taxes weren't much.

It's not his taxes, but his income. With the combine income are you saying that you'll will still be short $40.00 for the 2011 Income poverty level for the number of people?

ok he started working late 2010 so the tax returns I just file will be off by 40.00 but oue combine income now is well over it and I know in JA they look at tax returns

In Ja they look at tax returns if it isnt enough when u file

So you are saying that for the taxes the total combine income on the tax form is off by $40.00. Do you have any sayings that can make up the difference, such as $200.00 in a joint savings account? If so, then this will solve your dilemma.

Yes well over that but when I went for my husband they say they only use ur taxes to determine income in JA that's what the CO said at the embassy

Don't worry about it , use the 2010 taxes doc, 2011 pay stubs, and savings account, that will suffice. All is well.
