In all due respect, the $800+ I forked out to get her cat over here ended up being not such a bad deal after this last summer. We have a stand of birch tree's next to our yard that the bears (brown bears) have made a path through over the years to get down to the beach (salmon). I stepped out to have a smoke around 5am before I started to get ready for work and it was foggy as all get. Anyways the cat was on the window seal as usual but this time it was making a low growl and all the hairs were standing up on it's back. I was like ####### is wrong with this cat ? So anyways I when I open the door the cat runs outside and starts hissing..then I see a shadow move behind the truck which is all of ten ft. from the front porch. It was a sow and her cub. After that one I figured the cat earned her plane ticket.

Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

It's like my wife told me when I told her I had a $10,000 insurance policy. "I not will be kill you for $10,000... you can work for 30 more years and make for me million dollars."

I haven't told any of my family that I have $400k worth of life insurance. I pay under $12/month so why not, company picks up the rest. I can only imagine what would cross their minds if I were late for a family gathering, didn't have my phone on myself when they're trying to call multiple times, etc...

That would've led to a case of NBS for me. New Bride Syndrome.

My wife told me a similar story of our cat being on alert. She walked outside and someone was peering through our window a/c unit.

(She went on to add she didn't even take the shotgun out with her, only told this guy to leave. I told her next time to take the shotgun. She said, "I have my beater and knife." - Glad she's never been too mad at me!)

Mine paid for her own pet shipping cost.

Mine simply left hers there.

Katya had a little Chihuahua dog and a cat when I first met her via email. The dog was sadly run over by a drunk driver before we even contacted each other via Skype. Her cat was left at home with her brother. I had 2 cats and a dog when she arrived. The dog is too big for her, and for our 6 year old boy Denis; though he's sprouting like a weed. The Siamese cat only like me; but luckily the other mixed cat warmed up to her. Her cat in Russia died last year; and it was rough on her for a couple days. I'm glad my mixed breed was there to help her be being the cute and affectionate cat that he is. He tries to sleep on her head far too often; it never ends well.

A year after being here, she finally decided she wanted a small dog. We ended up getting a MinPin/Chihuahua mix. I never thought I'd like a small dog; but he's a charmer. My Siamese is not afraid of him, is almost as big as him; and they constantly fight. But it's been 3 months and the dog yelps less and less as it learns that no one fucks with a Siamese. My 80 lb german shepard learned the Siamese cat lesson early on. What a jerkass cat; but I love him. :P

It is really really comical to watch Katya yell at the little runt in Russian. She doesn't raise her voice, but the dog instantly flips over on it's belly and/or cowers in place when she starts to berate him for pooping on the carpet. Often times she can't finish the rant because he's just so damn adorable when he's cowering.

No problems here. I even figured out all the stuff and made all the arrangments and bought the carriers on the last visit there before she left. Of course I DIDN'T figure on the "changing rules". Nothing a bribe couldn't fix. I'm the man! The "go-to" guy. :P

No brown bear stories here, she has only seen one black bear and ran like a girl!!!! It was fu*king hilarious! I didn't even know she COULD run that fast. They say "you can't outrun a bear" I bet Alla can! She ran to the car, locked the doors, locking me outside with the bear. :o Black bear...the bear was laughing at her also.

She's a bartender now. I don't think anyone messes with her.

We're surrounded by "urban" (which is a nice way of saying ghetto) neighborhoods and I don't worry about her at all. I worry about her catching a case though. "That crazy white girl just went insane. She was hittin errybody and throwin stuff and kickin and oooooohhhhh. She crazy!"

It is really really comical to watch Katya yell at the little runt in Russian. She doesn't raise her voice,

Boy my wife sure does! The cats know when the angry Russian voice comes out, they should hide.

She ran to the car, locked the doors, locking me outside with the bear.

That's that survival instinct kicking in. "I not will be worry about you. I will be only worry about myself. You must save yourself because I will be save myself. It is natural process."

They say you do not have to outrun a bear, just outrun the the other person you are with (helps to squirt honey on them first, then run faster) Alla would win that one. She would sit inside the car and watch the bear tear me to pieces. I am sure she would be upset.

I'll admit....I don't get this whole objectifying women thing. Just because we celebrate the beauty of RUB women does not mean we don't value them for anything else! Fact is, the beauty is just the tip of the iceberg. It's only ONE of the many advantages to RUB women.

I try to avoid putting down American women as a whole...there are some really great ones out there...they are usually married...or so elusive that it's simply easier to travel halfway around the world. Everyone has their own likes/dislikes/opinions...for me, a RUB woman was exactly what I was looking for.

As far as cats and dogs goes...add me to the list of those that had to pay an unofficial payment to get my wife's cat and dog from Ukraine to the USA. It was either that or "pick which one we wanted to take". I was so happy to know that was my last unofficial payment to get someone just to do their job. That said, I wish USCIS *did* take unoffical payments so I could finally get some results from them.

well said

I actually made the overnight train trip with my wife, from Odessa to Kharkov, to get her pup. Before we met she had made contact with a Pekingese breeder in Kharkov, and had saved the money herself for purebred puppy to be born in the future. She's a young girl and this Peke puppy had long been her dream. When we met, the puppy had just been born.

That trip was an experience. Our relationship was very young, so it was also my first opportunity to travel with Victoria, and I discovered a lot about her. She learned how much she enjoyed traveling with me. The train seemed to stop every half hour just so the majority of riders could buy more alcohol. :D I'll never forget that Soviet era train. Felt like I had stepped back in time almost 100 years.

About a year later we had her visa and I was bringing her to the States. Honestly, I never liked small dogs, and I don't like long-haired dogs either. But such are the small compromises of marriage. Didn't cost very much to get it here. And my wife takes care of everything dog-related, so I have very little to complain about. Now that she has been here almost a year, I'm actually glad she has had her furry little girlfriend all this time. It has helped her in many ways.

Good point. Although I'm not big on the influences we're rubbing all over our ladies, not to mention the wimps we portray men to be. In my opinion this isn't exactly great for gender identity. Which is why I like my wife. She hasn't been confused into thinking that for a woman to be strong she must emulate a man.
