Lol, wasn't thinking about any fancy clothes, just: "maybe these jeans, maybe those, with this shirt... maybe that one, should I wear heels (not real high ones but heels) should I wear my boots over the pants, underneath them... hahaha I'm going crazy! or it's maybe I'm already crazy... And over here is winter, so I have to wear a jacket, but I know I'll be sweating like hell! So should I leave the jacket...

All of us March filers should be seeing interviews pretty soon. I feel like everyone here is my extended family!

Aww aorobert! I feel the same about my buddies here, I'm so glad we found this website, so helpful and that introduced us to so many nice people. I can't wait until we're all with our loved ones to plan a real big meeting, because we definitely HAVE TO meet!!! This is going to be another week of the best waiting of my life, one less!!!

Anyway, how is going everybody's weekend? Man, I just got home from my girl friend's house and we went last night to a concert, with my high school best friends and I had sooooooo much fun!!! I NEEDED IT! After all those months waiting, suffering with this process, I can now enjoy my time here, prepare myself and see who I love before I leave. The only thing that it was missing was my amazing fiancé beside me I wish he was there to laugh and have fun with us, it'd be so good but oh well, maybe before we leave we can go out like this and do the same! And the result of my night out is... I have no voice at all now

Congratulations, but makes me wonder, have we ever heard of somebody not passing the medical? I certainly hope not, for their health.

In our case the embassy got the package and sent the instructions to my fiance via email on the 18th. Just got to get her to check her email and hopefully they got her email address right.

yup, 2 of the girls I met there were put under sputum test...they are now undergoing certain test and medications for 2 months.....

good to hear ur visa process is moving.....

btw, we finally received our NOA2....I was right, we got approved on 7/13....

Yes, Looky, this--passing the medical--is of incredibly great concern for our members in the Philippines, a country which has the second highest number of TB (tuberculosis) cases in the entire Western Pacific Region. TB is the sixth highest cause of morbidity and mortality in the Philippines, ranking in the top ten of high burden TB countries in the world.

Therefore, during the medical in Philippines for visa, the applicant is under incredibly great scrutiny in this (TB) regard and the examiners tend to hugely "err on the side of caution." A somewhat persistent cough, the tiniest anomaly on an X-ray--and even if all these are all OK--it is very common for applicants in the Philippines to go through the dreaded "sputum test." This test is very occasionally positive and applicant has to undergo half a year of treatment or more. Nevertheless, the sputum test takes 10-12 weeks to check, adding time and 3 months of additional worry for visa applicants, even if the final result is negative. Examining facility in Philippines has been known on some days and certain times to simply "rubber stamp" all applicants for the sputum test, even if all indicators are clear for TB. [Visit VJs Philippines forum and you will find many threads devoted to this topic, several of which are devoted to a number of our VJ friends who are even now waiting these many months for the result of their sputum test].

Thus, to be able to avoid the very commonly administered sputum test in the Philippines is of incredibly, incredibly great import and unimaginagle relief for our VJ members and all visa applicants in the Philippines. To be able to pass the medical in the Philippines (for this and a couple other reasons) "free and clear" is to overcome not only physically--but emotionally--yet another giant mountain in this, our visa journey.
