OMG!!!! I just opened my mail and there it was: Were approved!! It's 3:15am here in Istanbul and there no way I can go back to sleep now. Whooohoooo!!!

I'm soo happy! Thanks to all of you for your encourgement and support! Congratulations to all of those who have gotten the great news recently. Hang in there to those stil. waiting--your time is near!

I mailed my original application to the Texas address as instructed, then I hear back from California. I guess they did an internal transfer?

Yes all petitions initially go to Texas and they forward them to either Vermont or California. The state the petitioner is from determines which one it goes to.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

I am bringing this page back to the first one.. SOOOOO, HOW'S EVERYBODY DOING??? I'm praaaaaying a little more for Matt and I to have some luck with NVC, and get our case # soon, so I can move forward and get on the consulate's a** to get my interview date :lol::blush: ... Anyway, anyone else buying pillow cases? braiding hair?

I so want to celebrate with you all the same happiness I had with our NOA2!

Well, I had some previous plans before to help me waiting for the visa.. but now, I guess I won't have time enough for that, I'd apply for driver license and a temporary job at the international airport here ( go figure, I'd know everything about POE :devil:), but now I'm so praying we still can get my interview in September, that if that happens I wouldn't have time enough to do so :wacko: , so I'll just wait for more good news and get everything ready in advance for my interview.

How's everyone passing the time so far? :) Hope our friends from here have some luck and be approved very soon! We want to celebrate with you all! Good luck!

Oh really? So my fiance (USC) possibly/probably wont even get a text so wont hear ahead of receiving the printed NOA2?

Andie, I think that Aorobert is asking if there is a kind of Igor's list for post decision applications, and no, I don't think there is. However, your own country's portal should have a similar thread to this one, it might be titled "July waiting for NVC" if not, there might be a thread called something like "August interviews at such and such consulate" I know my country's portal has a few threads along that line.

As to getting a text, email and hardcopy for the NOA2, you might get all three, or you might just get the hardcopy, or like Andie, get the email and the hardcopy only. Time will tell. You can check your status on the USCIS website yourself if you like, they don't always update them before you get notification, but you can keep tabs on it there if you're paranoid they won't get a message to you. The NVC process is usually about 1+ weeks to a month or so, so there's not much status on it, It seems extremely random. Here is somebody's post on how to get thru to NVC in case somebody needs it.

Most people usually get the text and/or email, the system has problems so for some people it doesn't work at all and for others it works a little. Don't let this stage freak you out, the bulk of them haven't been approved yet.

Well I'm just getting myself moved into my new apartment. I'm not there yet cause I got no internet access there until Saturday. As long as I don't get touched and get an RFE I'm happy, what would freak me out is if I got an RFE cause I'm all out of evidence! :blush:
