Congratulations!!

Damn.. but hold on, TEXAS?? thought only CSC and VSC would approve petitions.. what am i losing here??? lol

I guess it's a VSC filer, since his/her city appears as Florida. It seems a bit confusing since VJ keeps TSC as an option for you to put when you are filling in your timeline section. They should eliminate this option

10-24-2012: AOS, EAD, AP Sent

11-04-2012: NOA1 AOS, EAD, AP

11-06-2012: Biometrics App Letter

11-16-2012: My baby boy was born

11-19-2012: Biometrics Appointment

12-29-2012: AP Approved

From what I read, this IS a service center, for real. Only accept petitions from a few states.. here, look:

The Texas Service Center (TSC) is one of four INS Service Centers and has jurisdiction for applications and petitions from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

I just really never seen people being approved by them lol... but oh well, VSC has one more service center to catch up!

As per a friend, I need a US passport for domestic flight. So I presumed I cannot fly domestically til I get one. Good for both of u, ur family will be there on ur wedding day. and it's awesome they accepted ur girl. How I wish, his family will be on our wedding too but yeah, his family wanted him to marry someone from Vietnam and he was being disowned when he refused to do so. Actually, he told them the same, he told them that if he is going to marry, it is to the person he loves but his family are not as open as urs. They've been to US for 36years now but they still are very much into their traditions. Oh I don't know, maybe they just simply don't like me because I'm a Filipino. Sad but we can't do anything about it. My fiance said, just move on and as soon as I get there, we gonna start to build our own family, but I told him it would be nice if both our family accept our relationship. oh man, drama again! :))....

I wish right now, NOA2 before his 3mos vacation here in PI. He will fly on September 30. So if we will get our NOA2 by July/August, he will be here on my interview. So please VSC, start to approve March filers...[-o<

Its funny but actually been a while since I was on a domestic flight, but I don't think they require passports, except you can use them as ID. But you do have a passport from your country right, and when you get your Visa it will be inside your passport. There are many people in the US that don't have US passports and they fly domestically also so I don't think that should be a problem.

Actually I think the people that came to the US long long ago are the ones that hold onto their traditons even stronger, and even while the traditions in their country become more lax they tend to keep what they learned growing up. Yeah I'm also lucky that I have two brothers that followed that same path and so our parents had to change, besides what were they supposed to do, disown all their kids! Good luck with that, eventully his parents will see that you two are happy together and hopefully give in.

NOA1 - 12/21/15

NOA2 - 04/18/16

NVC Receive - 04/29/16

NVC Welcome - 05/13/16

DS-261 - 05/14/16

AOS, IV PAID - 05/27/16

DS260 done - 06/10/16

Case Transferred to US Embassy in Riga Latvia at the end of October.

If you really want it, you'll find a way!

oh then I was misinformed. it would be awesome if we can fly to HI and get marry there. :)

Yeah I thought so too, maybe because they also want to preserve their traditions wherever they are right now.::P. haha, ur siblings of hard head :P....It's admirable because u can stand up on what you believe in and you can stand up for ur girl...Oh well, everything will be okay in the end. i just hope someday, they'll learn to accept me. :)

When life gives you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt....:)

Right, well.. so if they are moving along, that is great. I pray every night and imagine us getting approved, how it'll be and how we'll react. Today is one of those days that I wish time could go FASTER, and I could sleep and wake up with the NOA2, or at the day that my baby will be here. I'm not disappointed, or wondering too much when we'll get it, but I just wanna see some approvals, see people here getting approved and see VSC getting closer to OUR petition. This would put my hopes and beliefs up high.

I'm not really religious, but I pray every night to God, most of the times is saying thanks, for putting this amazing man in my life and making things easier when we're together. Keep hoping people.

before we got an account on VJ when i had that noa1 problem cause it was so slow, i asked on another forum i knew back then. i told them my petition is in texas and the admins on that forum told me that texas doesnt handle those petitions anymore, so they are all sent to vermont. i was pretty dissapointed back then cause i knew vsc is slow, but i got used to it after a while.

now i dont think at noa2 as much. i spend all my day reading and drawing to take my mind off it and it works. i barely check uscis website once 2-3 days. probaby when sam leaves back to america ill start getting desperate for noa2 again

Hi March Filers,

I filed I129F on March 16. Our petition was approved May 31 (CSC) . So now we wait for the NVC # and for the pkg to be forwarded to the Guangzhou consulate. What a relief that it has been approved. We are thinking that an Oct 10 interview date would be perfect since I (petitioner) was unemployed 2009, 2010 and until April 5, 2011. Even though my income is over 30K for 2009 and 2010 I think it is best to wait until I have been re-employed for six months before the interview. Thoughts/comments?

I think one reason we were approved fast is because we have a K-2 age out issue and I wrote "Potential K-2 age out" on the petiion in a couple prominent places.

Best of luck to all of you  it'll happen...

Just got an email that NOA2 is in the mail!!!!

 Congrats!!!!!

Yes that is how I was told it works to. Texas is more of a distribution center. You send your K-1 to Texas and then they send it to either California or Vermont depending upon the state you live in. I live in Oklahoma, so my petition was sent to Vermont :crying:

If the first three letters of your receipt number are EAC then you are in Vermont and if they are WAC you are in California.

I think some people get confused and think they are in Texas because that is where they originally sent the petition.
