Thanks Thea, I had a talk with her this morning while she was in bed in the hospital. She was in a car accident! Of all things, taxi drivers drive crazy but you hope they don't get into accidents! She was hit in the head, on the third day in the hospital she was conscious. She has a cracked rib also. She's going home tomorrow but still will be in bed for at least a week more, I think, hopefully not too much more. Thank God, this could have been so much worse!

Yeah, it could have been. Thats the thing Thea, if you let all the freak possibilities worry you, you end up driving yourself nuts and raise the chances of getting into some sort of trouble. My fiance, Loreta, has that problem where she can get overly stressed and somehow gets herself in some sort of mess, although she's gotten much better these days.

Its better to just relax and take it all one at a time. There's not a thing we can do about freak accidents so why get stressed over things you have no control over. Of course thats easier said then done, but we can work at it.

What a relief Looky. As you say, could have been so much worse. I'm so glad that you have been able to talk with her and I hope she improves quickly and you can get on with your plans.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Thanks Andie, yeah definitely quite a relief. All the posibilities of what could have happened have been going through my mind for the last week, and none of them good, and then all of a sudden we're back in the game! :dance:

Well right now I'm thinking I'll go over there once we can figure out the new interview date.

The thing is I think by that time its going to start getting a bit cooler here. She's gotten so used to the extremely hot weather living in Cyprus that I'm sort of worried she won't feel good transitioning to the autumn/winter climate here. Its probably a better idea for me to bring her and the dog over around the middle of March or so cause then she'll get to ease into the weather here and her mood will be much better than if she felt like she was freezing to death all the time.

Thanks Carolina, whats important is that she's ok. As of yesterday she was still vomiting, had a problem opening one eye, and slight problem hearing with one ear. I think all thats due to swelling. Its ok we're not in a rush, we'll take the time for her to heal and also get this right. Its already been too long since I've seen her, I think I need to go over there for 2 weeks or so when the time for the new interview comes.

How's your paperwork? Did it get there? I hope so, how could they lose it :wacko: , anyway, keep us updated too, you're still a Marcher!

Yes it did get there... I was told at this end that it would be 4-6 days so I was panicking, but then found it was in Customs waiting for clearance. They finally gave me a case number and contact for customs so my fiance called them and they said they had no quick way of tracking it but it could be held up for between 30-45 days (I've never heard of this before) ... wth? :o - anyway they left a note in his PO Box the next day and he now has the paperwork. Now its just a matter of how long it takes to put it all together. Thing is, I don't have a job since I didn't expect to be here so long... and he's working long hours, so its all upside down really. Hopefully the petition will go within a few days.
