PolIce Certificate Process

Nattoy had to geet 2 police certs. We got ours and then everyone was getting blue slipped for not having it dated only weeks before the interview. So we had to get another one to be safe. The thing says it just has to be valid for 6 months so we just were going by what we thought would be ok. Then the Dudus thing happened, but maybe now that the Dudus thing is over they will go back to normal. I think now their blue slip happy about tax info. Maybe just email the embassy closer to the interview and ask them if it will be ok with the police certificate you have or should you get another. If you do have to get another one at least you both will be familiar with the process.

as for advice down the road....post elsewhere if you dont like the reply....i wasnt trying to start anything....i was giving advice and input and I have been through this process of fiance visa already and unfortunately now going thru the CR-1 avenue.....i was trying to help....it is what it is....but perhaps ur fiance lives near kingston and its no biggie to get there to do it again or u both have money to piss away so you dont care if you have to pay and start all over......ok let me stop cause i am heated.....

This make no sense. A person who started the process 2 weeks ago have 8 more months to GO and already trying to obtain a police clearance - this is straight mad. Desperation.

Wait a minute everyone, getting it early for some people is a piece of mind. This way there are no surprises along the way. Yes, she will have to get another, but right now there is no hidden facts.

I'd say it's a bit early and you do run the risk of being asked for a more recent one. If that's okay with you, then congrats on your Police check.

I waited until 4 months into our 5 month wait. Worked out just in time. Perfectly.
