valera, No need to make an appointment to do the walk-in FP as long as you have your letter with you. I've never heard from anybody here on VJ that got turned away.

Hmmm, I wasn't able to edit my post to add in our experience. Oh well, here it is:)...

It was great! It was about a 4 hour drive and a lot of waiting when we got there, but the ceremony went well. It was part of that town's annual 4th of July Celebration and it was all very patriotic! We sang patriotic songs, cannons were shot off, and they had red, white and blue water sprayed from a tugboat in the water right behind us. Afterward they had a reception for all of the new US Citizens (155 in all!) and had a buffet table full of food. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. It really was a great experience and one we won't forget! So glad we're done though!!:)

Congratulations I'm sure you're glad to be done with USCIS. Congrats once again.

Just received another notification that we were sent out a letter with the day and time of the Oath Ceremony!!! :dance:

this is so exciting!!! It's been a long journey from start to finish and finally, we will be crossing the finish line

permanently!! Funny, how it seems like yesterday when we first started this process ( 2005 :wow: ) Hopefully,

the ceremony will be this month.

My daughter's Oath ceremony is tomorrow in Seattle.

Her interview date was June 27/11 and she could have done the oath ceremony right after her interview, but my husband and I were leaving on vacation that day, so we chose to do the oath ceremony later.

I can't believe we will definitely be done with ANY and ALL immigration matters now (for myself and for my daughter).

It's been a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG 8 years!!!!

Dec. 10/04... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport stamped)
