Hi.

So i've hit a wall... just to give you guys a low-down on my circumstances:

My fiance is from the USA and i am from London, UK. We are currently working in Israel for a charity and my visa ends in 6 months! There is no option to extend it either.

We filed our I-129F in January and got our first NOA on january 3rd saying it was being sent to the Vermont service centre. It then got 'touched' on JAnuary 7th. We have had nothing since. I realise that it's probably far too early to expect the NOA2. The thing is, seeing as i might not be in the country or a temporary resident in Israel by the time the medical and interviews come around. I am looking to move back to london in 2 months.

So my questions (if you can help) are:

1) Can i re-route the petition to go to the London Consulate?

2) How can this be done?

3) Will this affect my timeline and put me to the bottom of the pile again?

4) What about the fact that all of the addresses and information on the i-129f form says i live in israel?!

Please please help...

any links to forms or other threads would be great too.

Wishing you all the best of luck with your visas.

1) yes

2) contact NVC immediately after the petition is approved

3) won't affect the USCIS but could slow down the petition getting to the correct consulate

4) what about it? stuff happens, people move

YMMV

thanks for the advice.

Just in case anyone else has a similar situation, I spoke to a VERY nice and helpful man at the USCIS and he checked my case and informed me of its location and said that a written letter needs to be sent before approval to change my address. This won't slow down the process. It will then take upto 30 days for a NOA to say they have changed it and the petition will continue as normal with no extra delays! =)

Best news i've had so far!

and in 4 months you will come back asking us what to do now as your case is in israel... don't trust what you were told by the uscis... watch your case file when it gets to nvc and make sure it is diverted to london... believe me you are not the first to believe the uscis
