:( Casa has replied to 3 of my 5 emails now. All of them w/ the same automated response and K1 attachment w/ no acknowledgement that they even *read* my emails. All calls to the Embassy have been fruitless and frustrating.

Just something, Casa... toss me something that says someone there at least pays attention to what's being asked. Even if they just say "NO, we have not appt date for you" - that's cool.... at least I know they comprehend what I'm asking. :help:

Guess I got a little too excited yesterday when Ahlam_ladida and jerseygal got their dates and we had the same "left NVC" dates.

Throw me a frickin' bone here:

Seriously though, noura, I know exactly how you feel. Same thing happened to us last year. Our case left NVC on 8/16 and Casa would either not respond to me or send me that stupid FAQ until I got my congressman's office involved finally at the beginning of October. I'd say contact them sooner rather than later. I think our case had gotten lost in the shuffle and they didn't even notice until my congressman made an inquiry.

ok, so now they have answered 4 of my 5 emails - this time w/ a *different* attachment outlining "iv instructions" - same jargon essentially, different name on the document. ho hummm....

maybe the last email will get an interview date - OR NOT :(

THANKS JENN.... gonna look up my congressman now - hope they will do something. I know it's not an eternity we've waited, but I'd rather not wait an eternity to get it moving.

Noura!

I just called Casa and this is the conversation I had with the security guard

-"Yes I wanted to ask someone about the petition I filed for my Fiance"

-"Ok ma'am you will need to email."

-"I did email over three weeks ago with no response"

-"They will reply, just wait"

-"Well I have waited for three weeks and I called last week and they told me to call back this week"

-"You need to just wait on the email it will come"

-"I would rather speak to someone please I was transfered last time I called."

-"I'm sorry but no one can help you now, please email."

-"Could you p lease transfer me to someone? You did last time"

-"Please hold"

then he transfered me to a voicemail !!!

Ok here's what I think. I think when you call, dial 1, then 4101 it's the extension of this nice lady who I am sure will help but I couldn't call her because last time she wanted your phone number so she could call you back.... try it!

Sorry and good luck!

Don't give up, keep trying. I think they keep sending the attachment when they don't have the date set up yet, just my opinion. It took 3 times for me, two with the attachments and one with the interview date. Maybe the 6th one will bring you good news. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Casa needs to take some lessons from Algiers. Come on Casa get it in gear!!!! I hope you get your answer soon, Noura. It is so easy to send one email with the information needed instead of 5 or 6 nonsense replies. Geeesh!

Meriem why did Hachemi do a blood test?

We did blood test for our Marriage license. Is that what you are asking about? Some states dont require it, but Mississippi still does.

Noura,

I wish you all the best in finding out the interview date quickly. It took a long time for us to find ours out in 2005 as well (when other K-1's about the same time found out in 2-3 weeks). The best thing I ever did was to get my Senator's office involved. They sent me a hard copy of the email they got back from Casa, Casa finally emailed me something (Hicham and I probably emailed them 20 times over an 7 week period and actually got a response from them maybe 4 times), and Hicham got the packet (all within 24 hours). Casa just needs to go to web posting of interview dates like other consulates. I was of an opinion similar to yours...just let us know you have it, even if you don't have a date yet. It was one of the most horrible times of waiting during this whole crazy process!
