The Value of Exeidited Approval

Today is the 100th day.

So just how much money would someone pay to be able to guarantee approval in a certain time was the question posed to myself last night from a friend.

I said I would be willing to pay the same as for a corporate visa, which is $1,000 before taxes if I had the same turnaround time

What is everyone else's view of this? Since at the end of the day it's the money that counts, why not offer this to EVERY visa petitioner and not just for corporate Amercai?

By the way, I have worked in global companies for 16 years now. I do not know of any single company that would do anything but pay for the exeidited approval. The reason being that the cost in time and money for bringing someone here from another country is typically over $100,000 once it is all said and done (usually includes fees for selling the house on the other end, paying for all immigration expenses, travel, kids private schooling on this end, getting a place to live and paying for temporary accomodations and the lost employee productivity for about 6 months while they are stil being paid!!!). Another 1% on top of that is irrelevant.

Here's to hoping there isn't a 200th day.

I certainly would pay the $1000. I know alot of other people would to. I think they will probably never do this for family based petitions. It would look as if the federal government was preying on people's emotions and seperation anxiety by saying "hey you can be with your loved one that much sooner, just give us another $1000". In the business world it's just that business, the bottom line financial investment of an employee. There is no personal relationship in these cases.

I really beleive that 30-60 days is an acceptable time frame for USCIS to process family based petitions no matter what center you filed. Whether they ever get there who knows.

I know what you mean, though we should not have to pay that fee if the system works correctly. It all boils down to unintended consequences of laws passed by congress such as IMBRA, and USCIS poor handling of that new law.

The way TSC, and NSC are sending everything to CSC is an ineffficient way to handle the work load. CSC is now buried under the IMBRA recalls, and also the piles from the other 2 centers.

I was just lucky that I came into the mess after they adjusted I-129F for IMBRA, and that my service center is VSC.

All those over 100 days hang in there I have been seeing some movement on the screwed applications.

There is something though, about seeing these quick approvals (if that is what 60 days represents), that really puts me totally against this federal government. I just hope it doesn't impair my judgement when I sit on the jury next Tuesday for a federal trial. BUT IT IS HARD TO CARE ABOUT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S CONCERN ABOUT ANYTHING AT THE MOMENT WHEN THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT MINE.

Heck yes I'd pay that. With plane tickets and phone bills, I'd easily save that money if it just sped up the process by ONE month.

Money does not seem to be the issue... VSC appears to have an efficient processing system, while CSC appears to believe applications must ripen before being processed.

Exactly. And all it does is reduce the quality of service to those who cant afford the bribe. Im sick of everything always being set up for those with money- heck even theme parks now have a 'fast track' system for those with the money to spare (as if theme parks dont charge enough as is!)- all it does is sh!t on the poor and line the pockets of the institutions.

I wouldn't be willing to pay that. It's much more than I spend on communicating with my fiance even in a whole year, and it's more than a trip to England would cost me. I'm glad it's not allowed, or my application would be pushed back by people with more money than me.

A formula shall be used:

$ (90 – Processing days (from I-129F received to Visa received)) * 50

For example:

If processing days are 30, I pay USICS $3000;

If processing days are 60, I pay USICS $1500;

If processing days are 150, USICS pay me $3000.
