After what I just went through , planning my wedding 2 and a half weeks after my interview, I would suggest you plan the wedding a little later than 2 weeks after the interview.

I would have had mine a little sooner had they not made a mistake and delivered to the wrong DHL location ( 8 hours away from me ) . If I wanted to make my wedding I had to drive to Dorval to pick it up myself or email the Consulate and wait for a response as to why they delivered my package there.....hmmm...... I chose to go get it myself.

For those of you who have been following............. I made it to my wedding , literally arriving in town an hour and a half before the wedding, after driving 24 hours to get the visa, cross the border and get to my new home town. PHEW!

Still in a bit of a daze BUT HAPPY! :)

Congratulations!!!! :)

First congratulations on your wedding! It will be a story to tell for sure, for years to come, that you only had 1.5 hours to spare before the wedding! Wishing you a smooth AOS!

Yeah...Packet 4 arrived today...no sign of Packet 3 though...glad to have had the advice of others to go ahead and send in the documents of Packet 3...thank you everyone for the support!

Lise

What would we do without VJ? Because of this web site and the community I have been spared days and weeks of frustration and waiting.

NVC said my case when to Montreal on May 3.

I phoned NVC several times and finally PK3 was sent from Montreal on May 19th (but it has still not arrived in the snail mail)and I sent back my prepared Pkt3 (via DHL) the same day.

Now the same story with PK4. I phoned NVC they said it was sent out June 1, so I booked my interview for Sept 12 on June 2 but still no Pkt3 or Pkt4 in the Mail.

And now because of all the great advice from VJ I have re-booked my interview from Sept 12 to Aug 8, and i will try even sooner.

Without VJ I would still be looking in my mail box everyday and going crazy!

Question? I could not find the answer easily. Does anyone know how far in advance you can have your Medicals completed?

Or can you book anytime as long as you have an interview scheduled?

Oh my gosh! I was just reading through this forum and trying to compare people's signatures (when they were approved in the interview vs. when they received their visa in the mail), feeling somewhat disheartened about pushing my wedding back again, when I decided to sign on to the interview scheduling system. Completely random, but there was an availability on August 8, five weeks earlier! I'm so thankful!

Same thing happened to me today. I rescheduled my interview date from Sept 12 to August 8, and now i am feeling much better about the timing. Thankful thankful thankful

Also, sorry -- I know I asked this once before, but does anyone have an example of 'Evidence of Domicile' -- or is that not needed for the K1 visa type?

I'm happy to report I have an interview date, Sept. 14. I would still prefer an earlier date. Any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated, or do I just keep checking the booking calander ? Still no package #3 but I have received an email confirmation for package #4.
