Hey all......

We are still here and alive. The continued separation from Gary is unbearable but I believe we should be almost done. I do have a question if anyone knows. What is holding us up it seems is the medical. Gary had a shadow on his lung because when he went for his first medical he had a terrible chest cold. he had his interview, consulate officer was EXTREMELY nice, asked him a few questions, noticed we had been expedited from USCIS stage and offered sympathy when he heard we were in the California Texas mess. Here is my question and I am guessing everything is OK. The officer told Gary that he understands the urgency to get his family reunited but Gary has to take another medical. it's scheduled for June 8th? Gary asked the officer if this means he is approved and the officer said...with a smile...we will reunite you and your family as soon as possible and they kept Gary's passport. Gary called consulate call center and in their records it shows they are waiting on approved medical and then they are processing to completion, any opinions on this situation?it seems pretty straight forward but after Texas we are very gun shy and scared. ok..PLEASE pray , I am so tired emotionally and so is Gary....I"ve been reading here but not posting because I've been feeling so down at times. CONGRATS to EVERYONE who has been reunited with their loved ones. Never take for granted on SECOND you get to spend with your spouse , when you can just reach out to them and give them a hug, or just sit with them in person, sleep with them and the beauty of waking up with them by your side. Peace and love to all of you!!!

Hi Val, I'm not sure that you're checking your private messages so I'll just post here...

I'm praying for you guys, I hope that you two are reunited very soon.

In regards to the lung shadow, as you may know there are many causes for such a thing to show up on a chest x-ray. I wouldn't panic at all until the second round of imaging studies come back. I know, easy for me to say, but really, there are so many cause of this type of result that worrying will simply continue to drain your emotional/mental reservoir.

Much love to the both of you! :)

Hey Saleem......no...my bad...I've not been checking private messages but I will....I'm not worried about the shadow really because I have read up so much about it that I'm certain Gary is fine. Just hoping that once this medical is approved, which it will be, that is the end and it will be quick. Since they kept Gary's passport I am guessing they really are ready to process. They told Gary as soon as he has had his medical to please call them and let them know. this has to be good news!!

I see you are in NVC stage...praying for ya! good.gif

I was convinced you guys were done with this mess ohmy.gifohmy.gifohmy.gif

I hope Gary will have the medical clearance complete this week.

I'm right now in NYC for a few days with my hubby, I'll be back in Paris Thur. We are still waiting for CC. I see exactly what you mean by "after Texas we are very gun shy and scared"

There's no day that I'm not scared of their review feedback...We got to a point where we almost regret not having continued on the K1...we really thought it would be much easier with a spouse visa... Celldoc says " C'est la vie" I say " C'est NVC"...

Good luck Val, all my prayers are for us the leftoverssmile.gif

Val and Gary...I will say a prayer that all goes well, I'm sure things will go great and you guys will be together in no time!

Saylin! You left me here in Canada!! lol. How are you??? How does it feel to be on the other side of this process?

I got 2 RFEs within the past few months. I finally got this email a little while ago..

All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview

Regards,

NVC Document Review Team

National Visa Center

SERCO Inc.

NVCElectronic@state.gov

Follow criteria as outlined on http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4409.html

Thank God no more RFEs, I would of just had a breakdown. Does this email mean an SIF will follow soon?

I just want this to be over with. October (the month I plan to move) is so far away, yet I know it will come fast with all the things I have to do take care of before leaving, including our son's American Consular Report of Birth Abroad papers, that we still have yet to do (long story as to why it hasn't been done yet).

I wish everyone the best, it has definitely been a journey!
