Received NVC number yesterday in a letter dated March 15th.

Added bonus, the letter didn't include my last name, they replaced it with "A", which is not even an initial for my last name. Not inspiring confidence...

Grats on the number! kicking.gif

Um, I'd definitely call an operator up tomorrow and inquire about that. Definitely shouldn't be an "A", especially if that's not even an initial for your last name. blink.gif

Hi Lara,

You should call NVC, the operator will tell you to whom you have to address the request. And indeed you should be eligible to expedite.

Good luck,

Lidia

Did you tell them about the TSC mess? Call again, most probably you'll have someone else on line.

Don't give up trying

Well 7 months since getting our NOA1 and still nothing from USCIS. Our case still has not been touched since November 30th. I sent another polite email explaining our timeline and mentioning how "concerned and frustrated" we are to the I-130 inquiries email again since every other avenue we've tried has had either no response (emailing people at TSC) or people telling us there's nothing they can do (the congressman's caseworker) and/or we can't contact them again for 90 days or whatever other amount of time they think of to tell us (phoning the customer service line at USCIS). Both my husband and I spend our days trying not to think about this debacle because it just leaves us sad and angry.

We have everything ready for NVC should our case finally be processed at USCIS. I have a letter from my doctor about my medical history to take to my medical exam after NVC processes us and we're getting ready for the interview. My husband even put me onto his healthcare plan from work and is paying for that (family members can only be added three times a year so he wanted to make sure I'd be on it by the time I could move, lol, right). As far as I know we've done everything we can on our end. I'm just so angry at how we're being jerked around.

Edit: Also I don't come to this forum very much right now because I see threads like, "USCIS started I-130 Processing - November 2010" and feel like my head is going to explode, so it's probably better I focus on other things right now.

Edited by Mike&Val

USCIS: 220 days

NVC - 53 days

06/28/2011 - Medical appointment

07/04/2011 - Picked up sealed medical envelope

07/05/2011 - Interview date

07/08/2011 - Received visa

NVC case complete to visa - 42 days

Total from NOA1 to visa - 315 days

I am very sorry to hear that 7 months later, you're still @ the TSC , just unbelievable!!! What have they told you (at the T-inquiries)?

I don't know if you are aware of their public announcement on the uscis website that they WILL have to process all the delayed cases by March 1st! This was posted as of Feb.8th.

If you haven't already done so, here are some contacts at TSC that you can use:

The asst. director TSC - angela.barrows@dhs.gov

TSC.Ncscfollowup@dhs.gov - in attn. Officer Garza

I would print the announcement of the uscis (here it is: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=d06835e66570e210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=e7801c2c9be44210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD ) and I would go back to the congressman's office and explain the situation!

I hope this helps, good luck! All of us here know what you're going though....
